What is manly in one culture may be just absurd in another, not all societies share the same values. I'm sure that most of the things that cross through the consciousness of these people are just alien to us, for we have totally another way of life; we've learned totally different behavior and way of understanding reality; some of our values are higher maybe, many are much poorer... its not easy to see beyond ourselves!

You might know that AIDS is only transmitted by contact with contaminated blood.

Drinking contaminated blood does not necessarily infect you. It has to come into contact with your own blood. HIV does not survive long outside the host, and gastric acid will destroy it.

I don't think mosquitoes could transmit AIDS. Because wouldn't the mosquitoes consume the blood and thus expose the virus in the blood to the bodies' defence system? I've read somewhere that the HIV virus cannot survive long externally, and usually transmition requires direct contact with blood.
