I just might. It's about time. It will take some time, however. i will want to choreograph and do it right this time with some hits and some sort of story line. So, don't hold your breath, it'll take a while.

I don't own one. This was a real paintball war. If you notice paintballs are hitting the trees in some scenes and I tried to choreograph the laser hits to that. This vidoe was me just messing around with After Effects. It wasn't shot for the purpose of adding the effects. I just grabbed video that I already had.

i know how u make the laser sounds get a slinky and strech it out and hit it with somthing metal in front of an electronic pickup and record it XD

Maybe. I'd like to but it's tough finding the spare time. I work 2 jobs and take freelance projects. All the while trying to spend enough time with my wife and boys. After doing this video, I kind of got the laser battle thing out of my system. I've always wanted to do one, and I did, so if I do another it will probably be awhile. Thanks for the comment.

This was just my second time trying out these effects and I was just using footage I already had. I had plans to do some filming so I could get some hits, but I never got back to it. I was also worried about how to make the blast hit look decent. I never did figure out how I could do that. Thanks for the comment.

I basically just dove into Adobe After Effects with no training whatsoever. Also, I studied the Star Wars laser gun battles frame by frame to see what the laser beams looked like and how the beams travelled across the screen. There is a beam effect in After Effects that is very helpful in creating the perspective beam effects. You need to have some idea what key-frames are, or it will be very difficult to use. Hope this helps.
