I like the way she does the song, as for her facial expressions? No big deal, I am sure they are more obvious due to significant weight loss, it is easier to focus on her face now. She is great but I am truly hatin that wig.

No, it's not you - I think the same. I prefer artists who make what they are doing seem effortless.I don't like to see them looking as if they are in pain whilst performing. It's hard work to watch & listen to (as well as being a bit sadistic, perhaps?? ;-)

I see what you're saying. But sometimes life is not effortless. Life can be full of pain and trials - and I like artists who can reflect that in a song that deals with that kind of stuff. It's called soul.
Though I think one can sing with soul and still be on key. I think Jenn failed in some spots there. But overall her conviction was believable.

oh help, i really do like Jennifer, but what is she doing with this song, slowly murdering it. She is so good, not sure what she was trying to do here, shame cos i really admire her. but,she tried too hard, the song was too fractured. i think her emotions took over a bit.. Still like her though.

Jennifer Holliday has her way of singing, and this song wasn't really meant to be sung that way which I believe is what telbridget was implying. It's no doubt that Jennifer Holliday is a great singer, she just does other songs better.

Nope. She always had some annoying mannerisms, which were excuzed by her amazing voice, but lately it's really getting hard to stand. Sounds horribly amateurish and cheap.

hope my earlier comments didn't offended Jen's fans, i know she has her unique style although she sings like she's chewing a wasp what comes out is great. She duets with a young amazing US singer, and is great with her, can't remember the girls name, Jen maybe mentoring her, sorry can't remember right now. Anyway i still like her singing this song, just heard her do it better. B x i wish some comments were not so rude and swear words should be censored, no need for all that.
