  • Hey guys.Sandskrit was a aryan language brought to india.Sumerias written language was Cuneiform.Sandskrit is old but not as old as cuneiform

  • Oh, and Sanskrit was not the world's first written langauge; that honour goes to Sumerian.

  • Sanskrit is the world's oldest SURVIVING language

  • What is a "surviving" language? If it's a language spoken as a native language, Sanskrit is dead, like Latin. Nobody speaks it from birth. If it's a language of which records survive, than Sumerian still takes the cake.

  • some monasteries in India still raise orphans to speak in Sanskrit

  • So someone was entirely comfortable ripping off Sid Meier and Civilization IV obviously. Or is that meant to be "homage"?
