I remember Vanilla Ice first time round. (I'm now 41). Only got into gorlliaz from someone half my age playing them. This is absolutely awesome. Great mix of the two, never thought something like this could work, but heck man, it does more than work!!! Great job, love it.
thanks man, that bass line was really tricky, i tried EQing it out but it didnt realy work. This accapella has been knocking round for years and people have dealt with it in different ways. the best ive heard - mr oizo flatbeat ministry of sound mash up. they multi tracked it and put on loads of effects and EQ, you cant hear it at all!! but it sounds very different to the orginal accapella. I just ran out of patience and went with it. glad you like it tho...

Otherwise, damned good job. Sadly, I have Ice Ice baby on vinyl from when I was a kid... !

Sometimes the bass from the Vanilla Ice track clashes with the Gorillaz song but otherwise it's not that bad. Good idea.
