and if i am wrong then prove by posting the recipe and video on how to make if not then dont complain when some one makes their own version.. again thank you for showing YOUR VERSION of this recipe
@elaine212kitten Thanks for posting. There are many ways to prepare Chicken Piri Piri and this is my version (inspired by having it many times in Portugal). As I'm sure with many other versions, this tastes fabulous to me. There are no rules in cooking!
but i dont see any of them showing the correct way of doing it by giving us the correct recipe cuz they r stuck in their never tell a soul out side of this family recipe way.then again they might not want to tell any1 their recipes because theirs might be wrong and thats why they came here to get the correct recipe.
i am happy that u gave us ur version of this recipe at least ur not 1 of the "never give the familly secret out" kind of person, many complain about how wrong u did the recipe or how u Americanize this recipe
Americans only know how to destroy food. I'm sure they've plunged the chicken in water and ammonia before cutting it with a dull knife and sticking it in the meat grinder.
Hi , sorry but that's wrong , you need a whole chicken , flayed out , soaked in water over night , the cooked on a rotisserie BBQ over coals , you brush your piri piri over the chicken as it cooks , chilli , lemon juice salt oregano , and a tiny bit of brandy , if you check my video you will see how it cooked in Portugal
@Denhoren There are no rules in cooking! This is a simplified version of what I learned in Portugal - and there are many variations on piri piri, anyway. I like your brandy addition..
@Denhoren just watched your vid and what a fooking laff, where is you cooking it explaining what to do? stfu troll and go back to your shit food prick, leave robin alone!
I appologize about this comment and rating, however, I find it almost offensive to teach people how to make piri piri chicken this way. Never once have I seen dried seasoning in the recipe nore have I ever seen it fried in canola oil. The chicken is not meant to be this greasy. I'd like to thank you however for keeping the tradition alive. "never give the familly secret out".
@ruddogg101 The first time we had it in Portugal, it was with the dried spices seared on on a grill. I added the wine to the pan to make a wonderful sauce. That's my version!

@RobinBenzle I bet those breasts were dry. They would be after more than 30 mins. cooking! Sorry!
OuKrokodil 5 months ago
@OuKrokodil Not in the least! They were big to begin with and poaching in wine keeps them moist. Give it a try!

@Denhoren I think she cooked it the American way, cause I don't recognize at all what she is doing! Especially garlic powder is a big no no.
