You know, longer expansion chamber = lower powerband, shorter = higer powerband..

You've just made it worse.

And as long as you get it running clean, you can add up to 6% oil without loosing power. Note that if you mix the oil in the gasoline, you must retune your carb if you change the % of oil in the gasoline.

@fingalickenchicken haha. i just tore one of those lil engines apart and theyre built so cheaply. theres a ton of horizontal play in the bottom and top conecting rod bearings. i was plannin on puttin it onto a scooter but after seening how crappy it is i said screw it im usin an old chainsaw engine. haha.

iv ported rc boat engines and a chainsaw also briggs engines to make it smoother intake and exhaust ports and lapping valves replacing rings etc and i also ported my engine for my scooter and adjust the rev limiter to be higher

i dont have a clutch because it broke. and the ratio is 5 to 1 ,is that good enough?

Check my video with the Razor Chopper.

That was when it had a 5:1 ratio.

Even with someone pushing you along at the start it was struggling and the clutch kept slipping.

Now it's geared at 7.5:1 and takes off from a standing start no problem.

If you don't have a clutch you'll need to push it along to get it up to speed so the engine can get its revs up, but even then it would be struggling.

Best to get another clutch for it I'd say....

one question.. im trying a new chaindrive on my scooter rather than the friction drive, i tested it the other day and the engine almost has no power! what has gone wrong? [ the chain is the right ratio and is aligned properly].

A junk yard. They are extremely hard to find. Pocket bike and goped sprockets are about the only ones you can get.

Not certain, but Im guessing it would be about 30km/h. I wouldn't want to go any faster on something this small anyways.

Thanks. The pipe is nice, but still a bit too loud. You wouldn't expect such a little contraption to make so much noise lol.

There are 2 vids of it in action I posted a while back. Im yet to make an updated vid of this scooter running at full tilt. I might tear the engine down soon and do some porting and a general clean up of the carbon in the ports etc.

Haha I had no idea my shoe was even in the video until I uploaded it...hmm maybe etnies could sponsor me lol.

Thanks. I will change the tank as soon as I find something that is compact and mounts up easily to the frame. Im Still looking into making a tank that sits underneath the deck, inside the main frame tube.
