@neworleansalgiershus Yea Bra its narrowed down to the Mall but Jazz Land the original park Owners wants to repurchase it back into a Themepark/Water Park with a Sports Complex!!!!!! My Uncle lives in the East and they gone have a Meeting on which Proposal is Better My hopes is for another Theme Park. I miss this!!!!!

There is one in Cincinnati that has changed hands a few times the last time it was open I think it was Americana. I don't know why but a place that was meant for so much fun and is left abandoned creeps me out.

@davemirra145 Unfortunately there's a lot more issues than that, the place is covered in toxic mold from the water damage while it was flooded by katrina and because of the mold and natural deterioration of the buildings, pretty much none of the attractions/shops are salvageable.. You'd have to tear the park from the ground up which would be far too costly and it would be hard to make the money back since the park didn't do very well while it was open. It's pretty sad.

@xdemonemokidies Dadipark in Dadizele, Belgium is abandoned for over 10 years, but it' still there. Been there twice now for urbex photo's without having security on my ass. but others weren't that lucky. So if your planning on going there ... keep your head down ;)

If you might get caught they'll only ask what your bussiness is and they'll send you away. no worries of any kind of fine. (not that i know of).

@onejazzy1 For most, there just wasn't enough revenue generated versus the cost to run them. We lost a lot of small parks here in northeast PA in the 1980s for that reason, the rising cost of liability insurance being a huge part of it (competition with bigger parks added to it). Sad to see so many go, surprising though (to me) to see some of these larger parks abandoned as well.

Google Earth has a slideshow of the park before and after the flood. And I wonder why was alot of people during March 30, 2006 - October 11, 2006 parking in the park and I wonder if someone does and still has a video for what they were doing to the park during the time.

Yes its true. When we went it was so much fun and everything is untouched! Inside the buildings is so much fun! We even rode the rides by spinning them ourselves. Im sad there tearing it down because its so much fun. But we entered illegally by rolling under the gate. We almost took the blueprints to the park.

if you herd in 2007 the six flags naer me i live newalbany but in kentucky the supperman cut some 13 year olds feet off and its shut down now but in may of 2012

what does "SNIF" mean? I see it spray painted every now in then throughout the park. Not only in this video either, in other ones. I keep seeing that word pop up. @xTheCommodore Yeah, snuck in. From what I've heard, though, it's not scheduled to be torn down soon. The popular video that made that claim, which I suppose is the reason for my video getting all these views/comments recently, got pulled a day after it was posted. Possibly for false information.

I actually never went when it was operational. Not sure why, because all my friends used to go when it was open. In any case, the first time I went was this summer, and I went 4 times in all. This was the last time for a while, though, as it was really hot every time and I always felt like I was about to pass out. But this time, I got pictures of the one remaining area I hadn't been to, as well as these videos.
