@monkaygirl4life Pet Sematary, Salems Lot, and The Shining were my favorites of his. If you still haven't picked any of his books up I would def. check those three out! I didn't put them down until they were over!!!
wow! I envy you! *LOL* ... I'm starting to collect Stephen King books just last March! I hope to collect hardbounds too..though its quite expensive & hard to find here esp. the old ones. I got 8 books at the moment, but I'm not planning to collect all cos i just kinda dont like some of his books...thanks!
hello, does anyone know whether has rose red ever been published as a book or not?cause it's the only SK's book that i don't have and i have heard that it's been published in limited copies only...ty
@stephenkingrules1 - There was a book that was a "companion" to Rose Red but it was not written by King. The name of the book is 'The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer".
@VCAndrewsForever - I have read all of them except for Danse Macabre, On Writing, Secret Windows, Faithful, and the 2-7 of The Dark Tower series. So, basically I haven't read DT and the non-fiction. I do plan on reading them all eventually.
@heizgoth - 90% of our stuff has come from places like Addall, used book stores, flea markets, thrift stores, and library book sales. I paid $20 for the 1st edition of The Shining and the HB edition of The Bachman Books. The 1st edition hardbacks are out there for the taking, but the "limited" editions are the tough ones to find. Richard Bachman paperbacks are REALLY hard to find.
@delanalou Too bad for me im not in the States. im in the Philippines. only first edition stuff that i can find here are paperbacks and so i bought em. most bookstores here sell the latest copies. i really envy ur collection...and i can see really hard-to-find ones in ur shelf. The stuff that's used in Wikipedia photo for stephen king's novels
Love this video lol,I'm from Romania i collect only the books he got published here.I think i will buy them again in English :D.The jazz music in the background is also nice .Your collection looks amazing.
Wow, I didn't notice your other dark tower books, are they all 1st editions? If so, you have a killer collection. I just started collecting recently and it is addicting
@Abes523 The Wastelands is a first edition/first printing, but unfortunately Salem's Lot is a Book Club Edition. Oh well, it looks good on my shelf until I find the "real" thing. On the fourth shelf down, beginning with Carrie and ending at Skeleton Crew, these books are mostly later prints and a couple of BCEs. Everything to the right and up is first edition. The fifth shelf down are anthologies, comics, audio books, paperbacks and pop-up.
seriously, screw wasting your money on kindle, who wants a crapy machine, nothing can beat the just classic, amazing quality of readin a good book by any author, kindle is just another way to rip people off. buy books and educate yourselves, btw, amazing collection, all your books look in mint condition, and hard cover too!, laminated, awsome. i get stuck with crappy paper back. i would never sell any of mine though.....
@daspoon456 I agree about kindle and e-books! I love to hold a book in my hands! We started out with paperbacks too and have slowly replaced them with hardcover first editions as we can.
@delanalou just being curious, where can i find a book like the ones you have, those covers dont seem to be avaible on amazon or at borders anymore...
@daspoon456 We shop a lot of yard sales, thrift stores and flea markes to find first editions with the original covers. It's not always easy, but it is so gratifying to find a book you've been searching for!
Well i did not think so either, but i dont want to offend anyone but SK can be a little too demonic or spirtistic for me... however when i had a job i bought 50 of his books without reading one of them haha. I sold them for like $1 or less each one. I still have the STAND and SALEMS LOT because they are in the special edition covers. Do you have them? i dont think i saw em in ur collection. Where do u buy most of ur books from?
great collection

Does anyone know anywhere apart from online or second hand bookshops where I can get Stephen King books in New Zealand

Geez, only hardcovers! I prefer softcovers - they're less "painful" in bed to read. ;)
