  • My niece loves oatmeal, so I agree with that comment up there talking about trying oatmeal. My sister always waters down everything she gives my niece, & makes things w/out salt or at least very little salt. Anyway - I can't imagine what it must be like to try & listen to people's advice about how to care for Ellie - let alone getting advice from two completely different cultures. I think you are doing a fantastic job deciding what YOU as a mommy think what is BEST for her. :) Props to you!

  • @CoffeeLoverGirl Thank you! Yeah I will need to find some oatmeal for sure.

  • LOL. Mixed babies will grow up like Leah Dizon.

Why don't you buy a chicken nuggets from McDonalds. Do like my mom does in USA. Babies like Chicken Nuggets make sure you peel of chicken nugget skin.

Remember babies don't eat adult food.

  • Don't delete the video! You're doing great as a mom and I agree with the Japanese diet for babies. Sounds much more nutritious!

  • @xxayarinxx Thank you

  • This video is amazing!!! I just hope you do not erase it!! <3 I LOOVE watching ALL your videos and listening to you talk and stuff!!!!

  • we can taste the most when we are young as we age we lose taste our taste buds

  • Love this video and all of your other ones, you really pour your deepest thoughts into them. I'm honored that you let us all into your life. You are a fantastic mother, and I'm sure when your daughter gets older and watches these videos, she's going to realize what a lucky girl she is.

  • @RedGryyn Wow thanks so much

  • keep the vid, and i agree more with the japanese mind set, sounds better for her digestive system,

  • Is she allergic only to egg white or egg yolk too? Too scared to try it out?

Oatmeal is mostly neglected food in Japan, but maybe you can make use of it. And how about giving her a banana or a peeled mikan? You can enjoy them even in case Ellie didn't! Though I'm afraid I need to inform you that there are a number of mikan-addict babies out there :)

Anyway, you may not be very experienced, general consensus here is you are loving, diligent, absolutely excellent mother, and I do not defy that.

  • @JackofEvil She is allergic to both >_<;; Actually I was thinking the same thing about oatmeal just this morning! She loooves Mikans!

  • I think it's really cool that you are able to keep up with your videos and how big Ellie has gotten! I can't believe it! I just started watching your videos yesterday and I am amazed! I am getting married to my Japanese boyfriend and I am going to be moving to Japan in a couple of months I would love to hear what you have to say about what its like being a foreigner in Japan. I know you posted a couple videos but all the information i can get would be awesome! We are going to start a family too!

  • @yummysourcandyz It can be hard for sure, but if you and your husband are stable and support each other you will be fine. I often find myself lonely here and if I didn't have my husband and Ellie then I would be a lot more lonely. But I love the culture and people in Osaka and that is what drew me to Japan. Try to stay positive even if you have a negative experience just try to learn from it and be open-minded and you will be fine. Good luck with your family and enjoy pregnancy.

  • Hanna.. I like the way you treat your child.. I've been dreaming to get married with a girl as you..

and also I like your videos though.. Congrats!

  • I have heard that you're not supposed to give a child strong flavors, actually. It was mostly to keep them from becoming picky eaters, however.

You're really dealing with a bunch of clashing beliefs on how to raise a child. I remember my nephew's mothers asked my mom about conflicting info. So it doesn't seem to just be only a culture clash.

Ellie really is talking a ton now, isn't she?

I'll never understand how some people could tell what my nephews were saying at that age, though, ha!

  • she's talking SO much!

  • Don't worry, you should keep this. Some people want to know how to feed their child in America or Japan. You are doing a wonderful job as a mother, especially in Japan. Though of course I live in Texas, I have grown to love your family and the customs and culture. It has made me realize that I was to go to Japan, probably to teach English there. Also, I think I need to get a recipe book too. The food there, from what I have seen, looks delicious. Sorry for rambling:)

  • @Velipsas Thank you so much. You should follow your heart and go to Japan.

  • ellieeeeeeeeeeeee sooooooooo cuteeeee

  • I don't think you should erase it, it's very interesting!
