Mercedes G has only one advantage - he had complete differential locks,but Defeder is better than Mercedes G :-)

1006xrhonda top gear wouldn't know a good off road car if it came up and bit it them on the arse anything british automatically is fantastic to them. The Defender is a fantastic off road vehicle the only thing it lacks is diff locks and you can get them for it too thats its only drawback on this vid.

The scoring was unfair because i didn't see the G Wagon going into the same deep ruts in the field and coming through without getting it's chassis beached!

Depends. If the Defender`s equipped with lockers, it`s the better offroader. Far better approach and departure angles, better breakover angle and better articulation.
