@b1naryd1g1t5 I played a Rogue on Deepstrike for awhile and made some videos.

TOR plays like most other MMOs and doesen't bring anything new to the table. In PvP the classes are much better balanced than Rift imo and there is a world PvP zone at 50.

The UI for TOR is pretty bad, with no target of target and no customization. Getting used to the featureless UI will take getting used to, but that's it. They did state they were improving the UI and adding new features however.

World PvP was what got me to WoW then drove me away. It was attacking opposing towns and villages and gettin all epic, but turned into mindless ganking with the lack of town raids. If stuff like this video stays consistent in SWTOR Ill probably stick around!

Should i get this game? I've loved playing MMORPGs for the past 5 years or so. I played WoW on and off for about 4 years, and i just recently started playing again.. but its just still the same thing and blizz isnt doing much good with WoW anymore. And diablo 3 isnt released yet. Should i get SWTOR? Ive never really played a Star Wars game, but i hear this one will be good? What are the best/main parts of this game?

@Jcizzle210 Its all the best parts of wow (allthough that isn't saying much anymore) mixed with all the best parts of other MMOs as well as a lot of great new stuff, it'd take far too long to go into whats good about it so I think you should just look up BioWares track history in RPGs over the last 10 years, thay dont know how to make a bad game. I played the beta for 4 days a few weeks ago & I just couldn't stop playing it, best mmo I've ever played by a long way.

@1422reborn It's mostly just trolls that say that. They generally have no idea what they're talking about. Anything with combat/quests is considered a WoW clone these days.

The funny thing is, when WoW was first being released, everyone was calling it an EQ clone and raging the same way. It just wasn't as noticeable because now we have 12 year olds who are heavily into the MMO genre.

@DuskDismantled1 EQ and WoW is VERY much different. The mechanics may seem the same on the surface, but the pace of the game, has absolutely nothing to do with each others. EQ is slow and steady. Max level isn't something you just get, where as in WoW, and all it's clones (cloning the PACE) is a damn give away as for gear and levelling.

Give us back a proper paced MMO please.....This action MMO thingy is getting out of hand IMO.

You do realize that splitting groups is a healers worst nightmare? I would rather have half the numbers if my healers could actually heal me. Running in groups of 2 is a terrible mistake unless you are just zerging, which obviously is what this video is.

@Eiram92 I quit WoW a long while back, BECAUSE it's the same shit over and over, and this game is essentially WoW in space, a copy of a copy, with some extra voice acting being the only innovative gameplay (if you even call it that) being brought to the table. GW2 is the only mmo coming out with any originality beyond "voice acting" and I have played swtor beta the combat isn't that diffferent from WoW.

I love all the qq here about how swtor mechanics will make world pvp bad, yet if all of the stuff that is being complained about was taken away it would just be like everyone other mmo's world pvp with is so pathetic that no one does it except for mindless ganking. @hellbounder1202 No, everyone doesn't know this because the game isn't out yet and not enough people have done world pvp to say whether it's bad or not. I think it adds and extra level of complexity to the game. Though really it doesn't change anything. Instead of people walking around by themselves everyone will have a companion. It's not like anyone is at a disadvantage. At any rate once people adapt to the change of always going 2v2 in world pvp no one will care and all will be fine.

Being able to self res (call in a medical probe) looks like a bad idea for World PvP. PPl just self rezing when ever they want no way of eliminating them from combat, does not seem to be any penalty for dieing....just and endless res zerg....tell me i am wrong

@stav1369 I believe the timer for being able to res on the spot gets higher the more you use it so in active PvP, its probably not too bad. They could add more function to the mechanic by making it take longer when you are killed by a player vs dying to an npc though.

In game, you are considered in a group with your companion.

When there are 4 people in a group, there are no companion but if the group drops to 3, 1 companion will take the remaining group slot to make it a 4 man party.

In world pvp, if everyone group in 4s, you are losing 4 potential companion. Therefore, grouping in teams of 2 is ok since 2 players will have 2 companions which will make the goup 4 members total, but having 3 or 4 players in the same group, will lose 4 companions.

Companions are usable in open world PvP but they take a spot in group. By grouping in 2s (4 is the max party size) and having companions out you effectively double the numbers you'd have if everyone where running grouped in 4

@thejunkmanlives yet it is unpossible to ban a player using one. If you decide being a jerk a kill a player that is questing you just have to deal with the companion as well if you are having an orginised battle then people can agree upon things.

@1Malgus thats exactly what i want. Again just watch the video and see how often hes geting free bot heals, it will cause imbalances. Just picture someone spec'd off-tank with a heal bot, or how about a dps'ers(sentinel) with a heavy cc pet. the clases work fine in warzones without the bots, we need to keep that balance the same for world pvp.
