Loved it! Your style, while being miles ahead of me, reminds me a bit of they way I play....by that I mean, right hand technique, etc., but definitely the direction I want to go. Do you give one on one lessons? If so, how much would you charge for a two hour session once a month? I live in Utah, but work for the airlines and fly free. I also have a sister in Ann Arbor, so I have a place to stay.
Just curious how much that would cost. Money is tight now...but maybe near future.
ok, I quit guitar right now. This is simply AMAZING playing sir. The desicions made during the piece are that of a well-seasoned player! wonderful job.
Jake...very nice and I love the tone you get from your Ibanez AG75. I understand that you have added a fishman pickup at the bridge. Can you share how you did that. Great blended sound. I have the same guitar...would like to do the same. Keep on with the great music.
Thanks! It's just as you described, I have a piezo, I'm not sure the exact kind makes a difference, at the bridge which I run to a separate channel and add just a tiny bit to the mix for some brightness.
You really make these songs your own. I love the swing style you incorporate. 10 Million Stars to you and your heart for the guitar. Got to love this instrument !!! I feel much Joy whin I hear you play, I smile - Yippie.
Jake I do really like the rhythm grove you carry all along this great ballad. The way the you do moves on the III -VI V-I to resolve on the on the Fmaj and the pedal you used on the solo lines is really ingenious. Do you have this song as an instructional video too? You look more friendly with music expression on your face too as you playing the song ;-)
LOVE IT!! This was a totally different version than I was expecting from you. Really great job Jake. I think I'll have another listen (and another, and another). Thanks for sharing your amazing talent with us!
I was here, once more hypnotized by the amazing rythmical/harmonical/melodical magic coming from your fingers, hands, eyes, mind and heart... and I suddenly had a thought...
"When Jake was playing and recording this pearl... Elvis the King too, from up there, was listening to him... and smiling, while enjoying such a beautiful tribute!"
:-)
Thumbs up for you... and adding it to my favourites, of course!
In effects, I need to bring back some good YT habit... I mean, me, for first, as a watcher/listener, I'm blessed and rewarded by such a fresh breeze of art... like the one always gently blowing from your videos!
