this song - this version, in particular - is one song that really makes me stop what i'm doing and listen. it honestly gives me the chills. i don't know if there are very many other songs out there that get to me like that. you don't even need to listen to the lyrics - the music, his voice itself is what does it.

@kuki758 Yes, John is special i like a lot of his own songs... he isn't a singer...like Anthony or others but he can give something throught his song and melodies.... . he left the rest of the group and i think that he made the right choice... an artist must change and explorer his own way at a time of his life . John was a huge influence on that evolution but you can't truthfully say, if you've listened to a lot of their music that they are the same now as they were in the 80s. john frusciante's musical interests, in his own words "took him in a different direction". compare mothers milk to stadium arcadium and tell me they are the same. if you do, you are a liar and you know nothing about rhcp
