  • Tedashi you are so right! It is your time!! So glad to see you guys blowing up. Andy Mineo is gonna blow it up to. They are unashamed and I see no compromise in their lyrics and hearts!

  • They asked yall a bunch of questions that were loaded to try and trip yall up...there were several times of compromising and I pray that the Holy Spirit brings conviction because yall have a lot of people that look up to yall. Btw, Hip Hop has demonic origins and is destroying the same communities that yall are trying to reach....don't conform, be set apart!

  • he said they want to bring "hope and joy and encouragement" and that it is "found in Jesus" then they dont need to bring hope ,joy or encouragement, they need to bring Jesus!!!

  • Go somewhere ? Wow. What a godly person u are. Haha. I'm glad u make sense. I am somewhere. Maybe u are lost. Or should get that way

  • @persianarabian go somewhere...not necessarily, he just feels like he needs respect as does ANY MAN!

  • Ok. Lecraes music ministers to me. In songs, he's hardcore about "not being confused w the heathens". In his song "indwelling sin" he talks about how a lil of this and a lil of that add up. And a little BET leads to porn addiction. He's human and not perfect. But he should be more boastful about his lord and beliefs. As mentioned by someone else. He also seems like he's looking for affirmation from worldly rappers. That confuses the hek outta me. Isn't he the one who rapped against that in "jus

  • May God continue to use them and all the people who r standing for CHRIST!!!!!!!

In the end of the day, Jesus Christ will be Glorified!!!!!!

God bless you tedashii, lecrae, and all those who stand for Christ!

    Be ENCOURAGED PEOPLE OF GOD!!!!

  • they need to say who the rappers are that are christian but bound by that evil industry!!!

  • The end of this vid where they talk about the other rappers out there who appreciate what crae and tdot and the other guys do, that gives me hope, pray for those rappers to come out the dark even further. That is encouraging though! For any1 thinkin this is controversial, cut it! Lecrae and Tedashii are some of the most passionate guys about Christ you'll find. But it's all part of a much bigger plan than u or i could ever fathom. Be humble every, respect, and honor where it's all due! ^^^^GOD

  • They straight up compromised in this video for the Secular Industry!

  • @caseclosedfanatic22 yea i see what youre saying, it bothers me a little bit

  • @caseclosedfanatic22 where do you see them compromising?

  • go lecrae your amazing god bless you keep on doing what your doing

  • @2005mrs I'm not going to continue to argue because It would be pointless. I'm not justifying I'm clarifying. 1 Corinthians 10:30 talks about this same argument. For the last time it is not a sin to listen to music from a secular artist, (would listening to an atheist affect your thoughts if you had a strong faith?) but in order to get along with a fellow Christian who does not agree with it. Then I won't do it around him. Exactly what Romans 14 is talking about. God bless you to sir.

  • I LOVE THE WAY THE HUMBLE..GOD BLEES THEM.

  • @2005mrs That's the thing music doesn't honor anything. Music is only a tool. Just like a knife can be used to cut food or to kill. Thats the reason why I answered your question that way because I was clarifying what music is. The music doesn't honor anything or anyone. Its just how the person uses it. The correct question is. How is that person using his music? And your saying this like all music from secular artist is about secular things when some actually do talk about real problems.

  • @2005mrs Jesus did hang with sinners. He went to THEM and hung out with them. They liked him so they started to follow him. He was not tempted by what they did or said. Jesus was a fun person but he was still holy because he knew what was sin and what was not sin. He went to the people who the Pharisees condemned and became their best friends. Even the children liked him because he was fun not because he was holy. The sinners followed him because he was a likable guy but still holy.

  • @2005mrs You are using that scripture out of context. because hip-hop was of the world, but we still made Christian hip-hop because of sanctification. That scripture talks about idols. If you love the things of this world more than you love the father then the love of the father isn't in you. Like I said constantly it's not a sin to LISTEN to something but to ACT and FOLLOW it is sin. Just read Romans 14 you'll understand. I'll just end the argument right there.

  • man they my dudes but they need to be a lil more boastful in the lord its like they tryin to blend in lol

  • @2005mrs I'm only saying this so you don't get it twisted my friend. God protects us from all things including music. Thats the only way we are able to even PLAY Christian hip-hop. So you don't have to listen to it but don't condemn it just say you aren't comfortable with it. Because as we further study the word of God, then it will reveal the rules that WE made and the rules that GOD made.

  • @2005mrs So what i'm trying to say is. If you are a weak Christian then don't listen to it since you don't have self-control. But if you are strong in the faith and listen to the word of God then you won't be affected by what a person says because God sanctified us. We are still in this world but we aren't affected by what we are in. If he didn't wan't us to be in the world he would of took us with Jesus. But Jesus prayed that we stay in the world but be protected from the world.

  • @2005mrs First of all there is no secular music. Because when you take off the words what is it? Just music. The person is only secular. So if you are truly sanctified and know the word of God you aren't affected by what they say because you know what the word of God says. Second you honor God when you don't act on sin, and you honor Satan when you do act on sin. So when listening to music from a secular artist you can honor God by not conforming yourself to the message of the artist.

  • @2005mrs So as sanctified people we can change hip-hop from the inside and influence them since we are not affected by world anymore. So if you are talking to a atheist for example. Your going to have to listen to what he has to say in order to challenge his perspective and influence him. If you have a strong faith you aren't affected by what he says right? Same thing applies to music. Lecrae's faith is strong so he isn't affected by what they say. Just like Christ when he came to earth.

  • @2005mrs See that's the thing. Listening to a pastor who's perspective is off is not the sin. But following the pastor IS. You're going to listen to people all of the time, but following the person is a whole different concept. Its all about self-control which you should have if you are truly saved. And as a Christian you can CHALLENGE or CHANGE his perspective just like Lecrae was saying. Thats what being sanctified means. We are in this world but not of this world John 17:15-19.

  • @2005mrs Music and Porn is not saying the same thing. Those are 2 completely different situations. Because music in itself is not sin but conforming yourself to the music is, like I just stated. So if you don't have self control then don't listen to it. And not everybody's music talks about sinful things like sex money and drugs thats a misconception, they just have a different perspective on life like I said earlier. You don't have to listen to it I'm just saying don't condemn it either.

  • @2005mrs Listening to music is NOT Sin. However CONFORMING yourself to the message in the music IS sin. If you don't have self-control then don't listen. We can't just force our perspective on them without listening to what they have to say. Otherwise that just leads to an argument and it will turn them off. And he said that when he listens to their perspective then he will get an understanding of what they are saying and he might inspire them or CHALLENGE their perspective. So he has selfcontrol

  • @2005mrs They never said WHICH rappers nor did they say they supported them, they only stated that music is art. Now did they say that all the art people put out was GOOD? No. And what about Conscious rappers like most def or common, they talk about real problems in their community it's just they have a different view of things. Not all rappers talk about lust and murder. And If we listen to people's problems we will know what it is we need to relate to them on and show them our perspective.

  • @2005mrs You don't get it. They are doing the exact same thing Jesus did in the new testament. They are building relationships with those people and thats what leads them to Christ. Jesus hung out with sinners and ate dinner with them and everything more than he did the so called "Holy" people. But the thing is, he knows not to sin. And yes there are some rappers out there that speak a legit message, it's just that their perspective is wrong. Only the heart of man is sinful not the music.

  • these guys are not afraid :they sayed that some of your favourate rappers are christians but thier are afraid to lose money

  • LOL some of da comments are hilarious. I didn't see anything that showed they wasn't reppin Christ to da fullest. They just brought it too real fro some folk lol check 9:00 if u don't think so, but I bet y'all didn't make it that far b4 y'all gave y'all comments (stay) tru...

  • For a better interview check out Dasouth interview with Reach Records or Lecrae Speaks to Christian Rappers definitally a reason why this is in a certain tone.

  • I love the Reach movement, but why does it seem that their answers were kind of diluted, they were answering question very political and not straight forward. “Unashamed”, Also why do Christian artist say it’s all about the art and not the content, and support artist that teach a message completely contradictory to what you preach, the message is hard, but has to stay consistent. (Mark 13:12-13) Grace and Peace

  • "Yall really care about yall craft" dang bro..@lecrae I love you and all bro but i think they should see that yall really Love Jesus and is because God

s Love why u cultivate ur GOd-given talent to GLorify God. it aint bout the art mehn.

  • She Obviously doesn't know who they are...Lol... you should really know before you interview someone. I hope she heard the Gospel

  • You can tell the chick giving the interview don't really feel cool giving it. Yet let it be either TI or lil Wayne and you would see the interviewer all in the face of the artist stroking there ego. With eyes of truth you can see the difference of the culture. In this world money is held higher then God these two are taking a greater stand then anyone who Raps about Money serving Baal. To God be all the glory and to his Son Jesus Christ our lord and savior.

  • Great interview. They stated their position on many issues and did not compromise anything. If you say there is not a Christ centered attitude or anything like that, you are ignorant and need to listen again. Anytime Ozone interviews a Christian MC, we should be thankful that thousands of mainstream consumers will likely discover the genre. The only thing that would have made it better is if they would have gave me a shout out for hooking it up!!! Much Luvv 2 Reach Records camp! Tre9

  • I am SO thankful that Lecrae and Tedashii relate to scripture!!

  • hahahaha their laugh at 5:25....priceless:)

  • His answer about if he's trying to convert people sounded a whole lot like Joel Osteen.

  • @truthsourcenet true stories

  • .."some of your favorite rappers are Christians"??????????? WHAT? The ones that don't let their kids listen to waht they say? sex, money, drugs etc, the ones who are slaves to their label (because of the money?) but they still "CHristians"

The average hip-hopper will listen to such a video, and come away with nothing that rattles, nothing that hints at RIGHT or WRONG ('perspective"? what about TRUTH!! "art"? is pornography art? but pornographic lyrics can b art?) disappointing

  • @constrainedbygrace You totally twisted what they said. So your saying those who are struggling and in between with faith are not Christians? If you wanna get technical none of us are Christians. Because none of us seek the king of kings and none of us are perfect but we ridicule those who struggle and just "look" like they don't know God. We gotta grow up from that stuff people, these are the main people God is trying to reach.

  • Music is music. Its not the music thats bad because God owns all things including hip hop. Its the ARTIST, every artist has a different perspective on life, and they listen to other artist perspective and see where they are coming from, All music is art but he didn't say that all Art was good. Some of the art people produce is full of drugs and sex. While some artist like tupac produce art about real problems just like us but they look at it in their own perspective so its not the full picture.

  • I don't get it. So Lecrae will have me listen to curse ridden, filthy, sexually explicit rap music because it's all a matter of perspective?

  • Okay I think they are not answering the question throughly. Where is the Christ centered attitude?? I think they did not put that in affect. Forget "Hip Hop" its about getting the word of God out to save the lives of his people. I feel they really let down their Christian Fans down. SMH

  • @cogiclady09 exactly!!! my point!

  • @cogiclady09 What are you talking about? They said it's both authentically hip hop and authentically Christian. It goes perfect with what Jesus prayed about in John 17:15-19. I think they answered the question the right way to show what both sides stand for.

  • @Diachi26 Yes but I feel they answered the questions indirectly. They also listen 2 other hip hop artist that are not Gospel. Why should they listen 2 them whats wrong w/sticking just 2 the word of God 2 write the lyrics? You don't need any outside sources 2 get the Gospel across. Salvation is in no other name but in Jesus Christ. The talents God gave them should only be used to up build the kingdom of God not worrying about being "Authentically Hip Hop" or the "artistry." Just give me Jesus!!!!

  • @cogiclady09 Music is music. Its not the music thats bad because God owns all things including hip hop only the artist are responsible. Its Gospel Hip Hop. God doesn't always teach things in the church he can give you wisdom from everywhere. And they have to work on their artistry and be authentically hip hop because thats who we are reaching for, the nonbelievers who like real hip hop. We are still authentically Christian but we also have to perfect our work so we can reach those people.

  • @cogiclady09 And not all artist are bad artist. Some talk about real problems and have good music, but its just their perspective about the problem is wrong. We may not agree with their philosophy but does that mean their music is bad? No its just their perspective on the problem. And we as christians are trying to push out our perspective on things. Being sanctified means we are still in this world but we are not affected by what we are in, just like the Hebrews in the fire (Daniel).

  • @cogiclady09 foreals bro get a right biblical perspective before you jump to conclusions

  • @cogiclady09 Did you see the whole interview?

  • @MrMarcuscarter20 Yes I did.

  • @cogiclady09 He said he was here to bring light to this dark world. Just like Jesus... :)

  • @cogiclady09 If you step back from your "religious view" you would understand that by working with the "Hip Hop" Culture that they are reaching the world and not just "Christian Fans". They have taken one of the most impactful cultural devices and minister with it. This doesn't mean they are stepping away from the Gospel to please the ears of the world. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

    Matthew 28:18-20

  • how did they not glorify God for their abilities? it was a live interview and they responded to her questions appropraitely, i'm a christian as well and am glad and proud of their witness. I dont think they deflected the glory from God in any way.

  • @Hisiesh you're entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine....I just heard much more about what they were doing and not much about what God was doing through them. I have been guilty of missing opportunities to give God glory myself....and as for the Gospel....they totally missed it.

  • I think these two brothers missed an opportunity to preach the Gospel and give God glory for their ability.

  • @anearthenvessel really? maybe you got a link twisted and commented on the wrong video? they proclaimed/are proclaiming the name of Christ. it was an interview that asked for their perspective and they gave it - a Christian perspective. "authentically hip-hop, authentically Christian"...what did they miss? For the textually absorbed, St. Francis said (essentially) "Preach Christ. Use words if you must." Their "swag" was Christ-like..and that speaks more than words can... #yesISaidSWAG lol

  • @ernestperryjr well thanks for the dig, brother :) (as in I must have gotten mixed up) the Gospel was not proclaimed and Francis got it wrong...one CANNOT pantomime the Gospel....faith comes by hearing & hearing by the word of God...not by our actions. The apostles when released from prison didn't go out & start a food pantry, they preached the Word, in season & out of season. A "swag" cannot do more than words...unless the Bible has it wrong?!? I'll trust the Bible over man's opinion on that.

  • @anearthenvessel 1 Cor. 9:22? Francis isn't wrong..your walk with Christ should reflect His character so much that onlookers see Him through you. As for preaching-you're 100% right that it's necessary. However, if u walk up to some ppl with nothing more than that..u've turned them off. Ozone Mag. isn't a Christian magazine, so to show that they're legitimate MCs first (finding "common ground")->the seed is planted where the unsaved could listen to said music and be convicted for the Cross..

  • @ernestperryjr We should walk in a way worthy of our calling~however he was wrong in that he says "IF NECESSARY" use words~the Gospel is word~reading the Word & proclaiming it is what saves~that is the grace of God & power unto salvation. There are plenty of unbelievers out there that live moral lives that appear Christian, but unless the Gospel is given at some point, a person cannot & will not be converted upon mere reverence of a person's walk~only the Word can save...not a person's walk.

  • @anearthenvessel 'Tis true!...(something we definitely agree on...YYYYAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!! lol)

  • @anearthenvessel Not saying that they're perfect(or anyone else),but from personal experience-take into context the audience u're trying to reach..they were interviewed, answered the questions-and didn't forget to stay true to their faith in the process. Nothing I mentioned contradicted the Bible...

  • Christ came to the world to take the wrath of God upon Himself on the cross as an atonement for our sins ,so that when those of us who place our trust solely on Christ through faith by grace stand before God, He will see the righteousness of Christ and not our filthy rags of supposed "good works". It is ALL for the glory of God. Christ didn't come to earth to just shine light into darkness & make this a better place. He came to rescue wretched sinners & give them new life!

  • Ummm....don't be a slave to nothing????Christians are called to be SLAVES (doulos in Greek) to Christ. I am very disheartened by this interview. Why wasn't more attention and glory given to Christ!?!

  • @anearthenvessel He said don't be a slave to noTHING. And Christ is more than a thing or a person. They answered the questions from their perspective as a Christian. Does that mean we have to put Jesus in every sentence in every interview. Why can't we just answer the question the way God would want us to answer it? "As a Christian this is what Christians do", thats how they answered it. We glorify God in everything we do for him when we represent Anything Christian.

  • 5:26 sweet ;)

  • That was a live interview.

  • real talk from real jesus freaks, love it
