I look for bardi grubs on the bottom of the red gum trees, there is a trick, you need a compass and when you approach the tree look at your compass and at the east side of the trunk you remove all the waste and leaves from the base of the tree, thats where you find their grubbing holes, once you find the holes you must use the grub puller and then your hooked onto them in no time. Right now its not worth going to country as there are floods.
I heard some people cook them in milk instead of water,.. and is it true that you can keep them alive in a cigarette packet in the fruit section of your fridge..?
@19playboy73 G'day, i heard aswell that you can blanch them in milk, however i prefer water because it doesnt destroy the natural scent the grub has that lures the fish. You can keep them alive in cigarette packs but that only worth doing when your going fishing the next day, if you intend to keep them in cigarette packs anywhere where its cool for a long time they turn black and thats a sign that there loosing nutrition and are about to die. My advice is to boil them in water.
brilliant but i cant find any witchetty grubs here in the uk ...wish i could ...

Also..I've been looking at,.. how bardie grubs (Witchetty) are caught and I'm not convinced,..their ways are the best.
Have you got any other alternatives,..
How do you do it..? and have you a video of it..?
