this is n't suppose to replace the original, its two friends playing eachothers music, seriously sometimes things aren't as complicated as we try to make it. theres no hidden meaning to why. get over it

It's amazing what changing a strumming pattern and the timing of a few little riffs can do to a song.

In my opinion this is a completely different song to 'Studio' Jesus Christ and as such i wouldn't compare the two.

I will say however that Jesse obviously felt comfortable enough with the changes and he wrote the damn thing if he isn't too precious about the song why should we feel the need to be?

most of the song is Bm and D, in that order.

when they start singing "i know you're coming in the night like a thief," it's G, Bm. when he starts sing we've all got wood and nails, it's Bm, G, D.

i like it, i think the recorded version is what jesse dreamed the song would be, and this is kevin just putting his own kind of spin on it, and while it's good, it does lose some of the conviction of the recorded one. on a side note, this goes to show that if you just change a strumming pattern and a tempo, you can COMPLETELY change a song.
