Wow this is one of the best computer science lectures I have ever seen. This professor is really good at what he does. I watched the entire video and it only felt like 5 minutes. It's good stuff like this that makes the internet a very powerful tool! I truly admire how enthusiastic this guy is. Too bad this is the first video of the lectures that I watched! Now it's like I've seen the middle of a good TV series and now I have to start from the beginning knowing whats going to happen!

I have enjoyed your lectures immensely; I never thought computer science could be so much fun. They have been an invaluable resource for me while studying for my degree. I cannot thank you enough for making these available and not only that but for introducing me to Hofstadter and Knuth, can’t wait for to the next instalment of lectures.
These lectures are awesome. I cannot express how much I have learned watching these lectures. They are aiding me tremendously in obtaining my degree in computer science. Looking forward for lectures 21-50 to be posted.
Professor, care to upload another lecture to honor Microsoft's newest ridiculous security hole? Beware the nefarious Icon Exploit! Actually, I'd like to hear your opinion on that, itself. I haven't yet tried to interpret the attack code that the news articles say is available online.
Your lectures are awesome, please upload your remaining videos along with comp 2911 videos. I really need to know about OOP, please do it as soon as possible. You told to do it in july... now we are in mid of july... I really wish I cud do my BTECH again from UNSW under your guidance.....
I absolutely love your videos and this coming from a 10+ year experienced professional programmer, i wish i had a tutor like this during my grad school days! Im really looking fwd to your videos 21-50 , i see that you did mention it would be out in July 2010, you set a date for it yet?
@somjk1 thank you somjk1! i am finishing off marking COMP2911 at the moment. It might be the last week of july when i can resume uploading. sorry for the wait!
Richard I love the lectures! I would apply to this Uni if only to take your classes! Amazing stuff! Could you post the extension lectures? Those would be awesome to watch.
@jegr64 and @everyone-who-has-posted-here : thanks so much for your supportive comments, I am very happy if the lectures are helping others than simply the students in the class. I'm flat out teaching COMP2911 at the moment. That finishes shortly and I should then have time to resume uploading the 1921 lectures 21-50, and then the 2911 lectures 1-50.
best regards,
richard
PS students and fellow teachers: please do post comments if you find the videos useful, or suggestions if not. they help!
I would like to give a suggestion.... The assignments which you discuss in lectures of comp 1917 and 1927 ....etc, please make their specification/ problem statement public so that those who are listening to ur lectures can also try that!!!
I wasnt able to find viking number thing anywhere on Internet, same with the sudoku Solver if interface file is available we can make those assignments on our machines.... Thank you
@BucklandRichard: Respected Sir, You are one of the most exceptional teacher today's world has got. I really really respect you a lot for your effort while teaching and for the effort you and your team has taken to upload the videos. Thanks a lot for this. As many others, I'm so eagerly waiting for the remaining videos of this course and also of the Advanced Data Structure courses.
really liked your comment. After I finished reading it i was sure it will be from a subcontinent man. We must respect teachers ,even the one who teaches a single word to us.
@BucklandRichard Oh man. Another course!!! OMGGGGG. Seriously, can't wait! I was getting quite sad that in 10 videos I'll be almost finished with your videos, but I see that it's not the case! aaaaaa, you made my day...11 months before today, unknowingly...
@Richard Buckland: Great lecture series! Have been watching them all including the 1917 series. Any ideas on when lectures 21 and up will be posted? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.
These are great. I've seen all that you have uploaded so far, and it's really really good, but please where is 5-18 and 21-n? Please upload them soon. Thank you Mr. Buckland.
Don't worry, I like it that you film the beginnings and during breaks and administrative topics. I don't mind flipping ahead when I need to get straight to the meat of the lecture. It would be useful if the time of the start of the meat of the lecture was posted though, as a reference. Thanks so much for these. Very appreciated and used.
