Laura's version is NOT bad! its awesome, they possess so similar great voices, no need to compare tow great women, they recorded the song practically at a time

Thank you Bob for this wonderful "live" performance of Jenny reaching # 1 in the UK with her ORIGINAL Version of "The Power Of Love". When you listen to her Voice again you realize just how wonderful this lady's Voice really is & what a shame it was that her Record Company at the time didn't know what "genre" to put her in. We all know back then Record Companys tried to "pidgeon hole" Artists into a genre (style) of Songs & the problem was Jenny could & still can sing anything.

"THE BEST"....Jennifer sings the Song with the emotion & the feeling that it was written to be sung with....She will always be the Best when it comes to this Song....Celine just had the most 'COMMERCIALLY' successful Version because her Record Company spent the money necessary to Promote her Version....Jennifer did it all on her own...Her Record Company didn't know how to promote her Classical Pop Voice that's why she changed Record Companies.

Celine is terrific, Helene Fischer is gorgeously terrific, Laura Branigan and Nana Mouskouri also do a great, but different job on this song. I've listened to them all, over and over again, and as far as I'm concerened J. Rush owns this song, end of story. I can't get enough of this song, playing it, and re-playing it, for HOURS at a time!
