did he ever sing the song Crawdad Hole? with his wife back in the 80s or was that someone else? my great uncle who is 78 years old gave me a cassette of some real music to listen to when i was just a young child and since 20 yrs ago i cannot locate it now!!
my uncle is getting old and i wanted to find that song for him... rip great grandpa clifford ashmore of oklahoma!!
My Dad had this album back in the day...hilarious song...the whole record was good and that is sayin' a lot for someone who doesn't like much country music!!
Thishere's rock savvy cannabis inflected REAL country!! I really love Jerry Jeff's "Gettin' By", and his version of "Luckenbach,Texas".Also a devotee of dear ol' Gram. Parsons, that'd be.While we're at it a little Quicksilver and John Cippolina.

Jerry Jeff Walker is from NY you prejudice fool. He is also still alive.
i just saw Jerry Jeff perform earlier today and I'm happy to report he's not dead...he was singing songs with his son Django and sounding just as great or better than any of his recorded stuff...He's the best and you are a piece of shit for saying that about him
I remember getting on the tables and clapping and singing to this one.....No I wasn't by myself...everyone in the dance all (I think Gilley's) was on the tables. I never thought I would admit it, but here it is for posterity.
I love this guy, listened to him all the time in the 70's and 80's! Does anyone know the name of the album he did with the song" Never could do nothing right" on it? I have been looking for it all over the internet

I used to have a JJW album with a tune called, I believe,"Pissin, in the Wind". The last few bars wen (to the tune of the Dylan song)
"The answer my friend
Ain't pissin, in the wind
The answer is pissin' in the
sink..."
