The "juice daddy" Jay Kordisch blocked me because I made a comment that the Hurom is a better juicer because it doesn't kill the enzymes with high heat generated by his centrifugal juicer. The fact that he blocked me simply indicates that he isn't interested in what is healthiest, but what makes the most money for his pocket!
I want to start juicing and I've been researching juicers for the past couple of hours. The Hurom seems like a winner, but how does it compare to the Jack LaLanne's power juicer? Is the Hurom worth 3X the price?
It depends on your juicing goals, and your style. If you want to juice more leafy greens than carrots, YES, its worth 3x the price. If you want a higher nutrient quality, yes, it is worth 3x the price. There are advantages and disadvantages to every kind of juicer.
It depends on what you want to juice. If you want to juice carrots and apples, mainly. the jack lalane (or other centrifugal ejection juicer) will be fine... Check my other videos comparing the jack lalanne juicer to some of the other juicers we offer. The jack lalanne gets 30% less juice than other juicers that we offer that are similiar. If you want to juice alot of leafy greens, or have other juicing goals (such as higher nutrient quality) then this juicer is worth it.
I've had my hurom juicer for three weeks. I'm really enjoying it. Is it normal for a little juice to leak under the base? Also, a little juice comes out with the pulp at the same time. Is that normal?
Under the base of the juicing bowl? If the yellow plug is not inserted all the way, it make leak there. Yes, its normal for some juice to come out with the pulp. Foam in normal operation. Some produce caused more foam than others. Try juicing something like a cucumber to reduce the foam.
@rawfoods yes, it sometimes does leak a little juice under the juicing bowl even though the plug is in tight. Not a big deal I guess. Just wondering if I need to get extra's in case they wear out.
Yes, the vert will juice alfalfa grass. It will make squeeky sounds when juicing it alone, but it will juice it. A horizontal single auger would be better for juicing that particular item, in my opinion.
I am obsessed with juicing and I want this juicer so bad,it seems unique.I have a single auger samson that works great and it can do nut butters and a bunch of other things, but i still want this juicer.
Adding water while adding the vegie contents will wash more juice out to drink, (get every possible drop), and get a little pulp in it for healthy cleansing. Add a few peeled limes to juicre & you won't belive how "awesome" it will taste. I feel more energy within 15 minutes of drinking a pint or so.
While you can add water, it does dilute the juice, which can be a good or bad thing. I prefer 100% pure juice, without additional water added. If you are adding water, be sure its filtered water.

Nice demo. I love your garden beds. Can you tell me where you got them from, or did you build them yourself? Thank you.

Also, why am I getting foam sometimes? Thanks
Other than that, I love juicing!

hmmm. there are two places it could be leaking from underneath:
1. the main shaft seal
2. the yellow plug.
I would call hurom and let them know and see what they say.

And how often do you have to replace those plastic wipers?
Metaphysicalman3 2 years ago
I havent had to replace them yet. They should not wear out. If they do, it will be covered under the 10 year warranty.

what will it do with alfalfa??
crosspecans 2 years ago
It will juice it. Alfalfa sprouts generally do not yield a whole lot of juice...
