  • @Alstheman37 Amen to that. People ought to check out more of the old movies. I've seen a LOT of funny stuff but the single FUNNIEST movie I've ever seen is W.C. Field's It's A Gift. I'm also a very BIG Buster Keaton fan and most of his best work is in his silent days true, but as fantastic as he is solo (there's just NOBODY who can throw himself around like Buster can), he must also be seen with his original partner Fatty Arbuckle, they were SENSATIONAL together!   • @Alstheman37 If you haven't seen it, you MUST look into the documentary When Comedy Was King, highlights all the silent greats and even that by itself is funnier than ANY movie you'll ever see done today. I was in a film class in college that opened us up with 'be prepared to be shocked, appalled, disgusted, etc' and oh boy were we. Now if I were teaching a film class, I'd make it about these movies back when films were still good and genuinely funny. That's what we need more of.
