@BI30 Deregulation of the markets and the changes to the Net Capital Rule are the reasons that the markets crashed. So I am with you on that one, the old rules need to be reinstated and enforced.
As far as safety regulations in miningand drilling operations, the regulations on the books are pretty adequate. But during the Bush administration, they simply put industry friendly people in charge of the regulating agencies, and stopped enforcing the rules.

I hate to admit it, but Captain Orange has a point. Trouble is, he doesn't want Wall Street's regulations enforced, and he is paying lip service to the Gulf oil disaster. Democrats don't have business panicking, Republican lies, distortions and exaggerations about the Democrats have businesses cringing.
