The races when they do the map for the first time really are the best. If a new RFW map comes up, I hope they try it before watching other people play it.

I also enjoyed the lack of pvp in the first map. It was tense enough watching them struggle not knowing how well the others were doing, with the occasional arrows every now and then.

Also I've been watching Vlogbrothers and they have this thing called Project for Awsome where they take a day to push as many charities they can with the same thumbnail. I think it would be neat if your next FLoB episode did the P4A since you have a charity you use to decrease world suck.

@kurtjmac Your problem with the microphone isn't a hardware one, at least not the microphone's fault. It's your sound driver and/or software which came with your sound card that don't handle the different channels separately. My advice: search for other/newer drivers, new software for your sound card, or get a new sound card. Also, don't use Skype for team chat, it eats too many resources (CPU, RAM, internet bandwidth), better use Mumble, Ventrilo, Teamspeak, etc.

I don't know what price range you are looking in, but I'd suggest the Behringer B-5. Runs at about $76, you can plug that in with usb using the bluemicdotcom icicle. That is just my suggestion though.

Play CTW (the new map) WITH boo and guude and co and avidia! It is made for 8~12 per team, so you could have lots of people playing!

I see what you mean about the races: after one of the RFW maps has been out for a while, more of the problems are worked out as the metagame develops around it. When two completely clueless teams are dumped into a map, they have a challenge, whereas when the teams know what's in the map, they only have to execute the cookie-cutter strategy better than their opponents. Also, as new maps are added, people can get an idea as to what to expect from them based on previous maps.

Kurt should do a new thing. After every episode he will push F3 and then see how far he is. Then in the description it will show the following

- Starting Coordinate

- Ending Coordinate

- Distance traveled in Episode

- Distance to Farlands

This can help keep the players in track. I myself get bored just watching him walk in Minecraft. Dont get me wrong. The NASA Tweetups are great however it is not good enough. I think this can make FLOB more interesting. Like if you agree. Please Reply.

I used to think that watching people play the map a second time around would be less fun, but I've seen several races on it now and they've all been pretty good, people are still throwing up new tactics and part of the fun is adapting to the other team. I agree that a couple of things could be changed for fun, maybe just moving some silverfish about or changing the maze route, just to shake things up.
