  • Now shut the hood!

  • what did you do with the oil breather line going into the factory air box

  • @liftedreds10 I used a breather filter and then just left the hole in the airbox

  • that will make 1,000 horse power LOL

  • junkyard wiper motor

  • junkyard wiper motor

  • not saying i know everything about intakes but ive had 7 cars and intakes installed on all of them i have found that having some type of heat shield will increase ur power not alot but some and its pretty easy to do i mean tinfoil could probably work

  • kah kah

  • dont sand too close there is no air over there.

  • that's sick

  • i think it finished its milk shake

  • haha thats fuckin awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sounds like a garbage disposel!!!

  • Looks like a couple of dicks playing light sabers.

  • does your hood even close?

  • those are spectre filters..

  • not really much point in this. Uless you've got a built engine, The stock air bow in these trucks is more than adequate

  • hey man whats the little filter for i think i have one just there idk what is used for

  • so what about all that hot air your sucking in under the hood. being so close to the radatior.. ya think it works good .

  • how are you getting it to suck so much air in?

  • oh that whistling sound is normal, my car came with a short ram and and it makes the exact same sound, didn't know it was normal

  • how much horse power dis pull in?

  • god damn it sounding like baby screaming!!!

    haha nice work tho

  • can you use pvc piping, a air filter, and some gaskets. Because I wanna make one on my snowmobile because the snow clogges up my intake then it gets damn hot!

  • is there any benefit by using a Y pipe and running 2 filters?? just wondering and nice set up u give me new ideas haha

  • why does everyone have to hate, its innovative and neatly done, i think some of you people should grow up a little and give the man some credit

  • So when u say to the right of the radiator do u mean standing and looking at the front of the truck or sitting in the cab to the right?

  • as if your sitting in a truck thats the rule of thumb, (im a mechanic), there should be a rectangle hole in the core support this is a good spot to place a filter for great almost ram air flow, it would be easier on the left but i think shits in the way depends if you have a/c.

  • What type of filters are thos? Any special parts needed?

  • did you notice a big difference when you did this? i hate air boxes. they strain your engine so much! i was thinking about doing this same set up except with longer tubing so the cones are to the right of the radiator. maybe it'll get slightly cooler air that way. ive done this kinda thing with my camaro and noticed a huge improvement on acceleration im wondering if it'll be that noticable on my 93 f150 5.0

  • yes I did have a difference, a little more pep and the gas gauge slowed down a bit, to the side of the radiator is a good idea. the cooler the better.

  • mine is a 93 so i dont have a MAF sensor so yesterday i went to a junkyard and got the air intake tube off a 95 so instead of 2 pipes coming off its like a Y pipe that goes from 2 from the throttle body into 1 and im gonna get a longer pipe and just use 1 cone filter. i'll upload a video when i get it all hooked up

  • can you buy a cold air intake system kit or do you just have to buy your own because imma do this to mine

  • i've never seen one like this it does have a functional scoop they make em though, a little expensive when all it is is a bunch of tubing and a filter

  • im just building my own with one of those spectre kits now

  • @302f1504x4 These types of modifications don't serve too much of a pupose, unless you convert your fuel metering system to a MAF set up. '92 & '93 Ford trucks have a speed density setup. In short, your truck will not notice the increase in airflow and due to where you have your "cold" air intake positioned, behind the radiator & next to a hot block. Unless you go with a functional scoop hood, the extra HP you would make would be single digits & on a 5500-7000LBS truck it's not noticeable.

  • @lukecz68 And even then I would guess an HP increase of >10. Unfortunately, a lot of people think that they can 'bolt on' horse power, but with moder EFI, there's much more complexity to it. I reccommend anyone who wants extra power from any vehicle produced post 1985 should read up on EFI metering strategies.

  • @lukecz68 I really should turn off comments for this video because the whole everyone knows everything behind a keyboard is getting old. The truck does have a functional scoop, this wouldn't work with the MAF sensor on these trucks if it was MAF, and a even if I gained 2 horse out and .5 mpg well thats 2 more horse and .5 mpg than I had. the stock air filter tubing is ribbed and creates turbulence anyways. If i wanted to makle 400 horse I'd build a motor a for it and switch to a MAF setup.

  • Kool thanks for the idea I got a 95 4.9 f150 and i been trying to think of what to use to make an air intake and where to put them. Kool video

  • be carelful a 94 more likely has a mass air flow you cant do a hole with a truck that has one if you fuck it up you get a check engine light and it will run like shit

  • hahaha people need to understand...if it works and looks ok then its great! you'd be supprised what you can do with a stock 302 and some duct tape, yer idea is better, mine is more redneck but what can i say thats what i am haha. a truck is much better than a car if you know what your doing, i can haul firewood while raceing cars...its funny when someone in a new car thinks they can pass me, i just wack it down and there like wtf. someday ill put my setup on here....someday,

  • some people just don't get it, work with what you have, i had the stock rubber pipes cut down like this before I made the metal ones, there all closed minded if they don't like or if the didn't think of it first its wrong.

  • yeah-yup buddy!! people can be freakin assholes. it takes a smart person to do what you did, thoes asses are just self-conscious haha

  • good its funny reading all of these comments

  • uh not ram air, anyway how do you close the hood?

  • "soon to be ram air", I think some one needs to go school. It's got a factory dodge ram scoop, so with the hole in the hood and these at the right height it would force air through the filters when driving so it is a half ass version of ram air in a way

  • You put dodge stuff on your ford? "So what, it fits!!" ya well my fist fits in your girlfriends ass, but I don't put it in there.

  • It must really suck to use your fist because you don't have a dick. the scoop was free my dad did the prototype die for it, no he doesn't fucking work for chrysler, I think it looks good and have had a lot of people agree. you probably drive some foreign shit ayway so why care

  • Good one. Hey you're a real clever guy, but unfortunately I've graduated from that and moved onto my fist.

Oh right, because I can put down your pos cross breed of a truck you think I drive some "foreign shit". I've actually owned both foreign and domestic cars, the ones that look good and go fast. So have fun with your truck, it must be a real treat to drive.

  • i guess for a truck or something would make sence but not on a performance car, ever.

  • I have one question. why did you make the tubing so short? mine goes all the way over to where the original filter box used to be. and i have metal walls around it cause as you all know cold air is much better. so i wanted filters as far as possible from the engine, and one more. how do you get that oil filter breather to work? i put mine on and it jammed my oil pressure i may have done it wrong though

  • its different for every application. cold air isnt always the best performer.

  • there is a hole in the hood the trucks got a scoop

  • what kind of mileage did it get before you made your intake

  • good question when i was nice to it, around 15-16 but i did the exhaust around the same time so that helped to

  • you need to stick to your normal job and i hope its not in automotive because thats about stupid been better off keeping it stock with a hiflow filter.

  • oh im a mechanic and probably understand and know more about car systems than you ever will, YA a highflow funning through a bunch of bent tubing creating turbulance is SOOOO MUCH BETTER. you obviously dont know shit so stay the fuck off my videos, your nothing but a computer educated jackass who knows nothing but the basics

  • Actually he's right. LOL. Who's the jackass now. Haha.

  • Congrats...you just made yourself a hot air intake and will lose power now. LOL!

  • they stick halfway out the hood dumbass

  • LOL! That's just gay. Bahaha.

  • yea because the hood scoop doesn't hide them or anything, you're a retard.

  • warm air is more dense and will burn slower, resulting in a higher fuel economy. and in the 5.0 you won't see any power decreases.

  • warm air gives you more torque if you didnt know.

  • Really? No I didn't know that. Maybe because it isn't true you dumb shit. LOL!

  • lol really? what state do you live in? im guessing somewhere cold.

  • Not where you live thank god because clearly you're all fuckin stupid. Bahahahaha.

  • you are one pathetic son of a bitch, you know that. all you ever do is sit on a computer pissing people of on youtube

  • cold air is always better you goofy looking mother fucker.

  • lol you dont have to go there. and no its not. sorry.

  • your so completly fucking wrong. go play guitar you fucking queer. learn something about engines before you move your fat fingers.

  • before you make a jackass of yourself cold air isn't always better warm air atomises fuel better but doesn't carry as much oxygen resulting in more torque cold air doesn't atomise fuel but has more oxygen resulting in more hp there is a scoop so this is technically cold air soon to be ram air when i build a box for a k&n air filter

  • Right on.. tools i need to do this for my 92 f150? direction.. more hp? better performance? gas mileage? sound?

  • you can do it with hand tools but i made a couple of steel tubes i welded together, just cut the rubber tubes in the right spot and they will sit like this but i screwed up and cut to big of a hole in hood, i felt more of a lower pull in it for shure and it helped mileage wise at the best i was gettin around 18, but i need a tune up. if i was to do this now i would invest in the new spectre custom system and make an actual cold air intake setup infront of the radiator

  • cool ass shit yo!!

  • & what happens with thee hoOd? haha lol

  • hell i dont need a hood I just ripped it off JK its got a fuctional hood scoop

  • whats that other smaller filther looks like a little mushroom

  • crankcase breather, it used to go in the airbox stock, but when i got rid of the airbox i had to go that route

  • haha why 2 filters?

  • I just did it that way, could of put both tubes into one but this was easier, only had flux core wire and didnt want to do any major welding, I wanted the inside of the tubing to stay as smooth as possible

  • could you get a video of the sound when u rev it warm?

  • ya ill try to get one up in a couple of days ill message you when i do

  • alright cool can't wait to hear it
