They're operating in entirely different time periods, the other side of the planet, and the asian cultures should behave differently than their european counterparts. Nearly everything is going to be different. To me Civ has always looked like a game where you just throw units around at little markers on a map. I like building nations and such, but i like commanding armies realistically more.
