I have to say, I don't really like this. I prefer the original, the style and the whistling is what made me feel deep-seeded emotion for this game. This version, while I'm sure a lot of effort went into it, doesn't make me appreciate it any.
I commented on this in OCRemix, but I really have to say that I adore this piece. The fact that it was arranged independantly of Michiko Naruke, and played in an actual orchestra, without synthesized instruments really adds to it. I love it!
Screw the haters, Into The Wilderness is one of my favorite tracks of all time and this version is great.

the only thing that's missing is the acoustic guitar and the whistle.... but all in all, its a good symphonic mix

Heh, a lot of people seem to agree that this song, though impressive, the original version is preferred.
I respect it for what it is, but... I also prefer the original.
