  • This just proves that music isn't to learn, playing the piano is hard! too bad were stuck with a man machine interface (piano) that's so inefficient for playing music. You can play so many unbelievable things on this keyboard...hope people wake up someday. :D

  • Yeah, Lisa didnt find it too hard and she enjoyed it too. And of course she can play it in every key! Thanks for the comment :) People will wake up to it, but only as fast as we can build them, and theres only 3 of us right now!

  • Learning the piano really isn't that hard. As opposed to...well pretty much all other instruments, on a piano you just press a key and you've got the sound. On a flute you have to breathe right, press the holes and whatnot. on guitars you need to press the strings hard enough, and straight enough to not bend or screw with the pitch.. Trumpets take years just to be able to play notes cleanly, same with violin.

Piano is easy, this is even easier. Not saying that's bad, it's in fact GOOD :)

  • its not hard, but to be good at it it is. this instrument youd be playing unbelievable music right from the start, and SO many different voicings not being limited by your 1 octave hand span on the piano...so many possibilities.

  • @geoffreyefloyd Wait, you just said piano is hard and therefore we should only be teaching kids to play on instruments that they don't have to think to figure out? What's wrong with putting in hours to be technically proficient at something...not sure why I felt the need to respond, but I just think it's sad that actual technical skill is less valued now it seems. I mean, I'm pretty sure a piano player could make that thing sound way better than an untrained musician.

  • Thanks, I'll pass it on to her :)

  • Hehe, respect to Lisa!

  • OK thanks. I'll look it up!

The wood frame looks really good.

  • Is this an early version of the AXIS 64?

  • No, this is a 2003 prototype of Opal's current model, 'Chameleon', who's default tuning is identical to the tuning used on C-Thru's 'Axis64'.
