  • Muito lindo esse filme ADoORE..............

  • i hate the new version!

  • I preffer the original much better actors and much more feeling in the movie and what is with taking out the idea that she was skating for her moms memory...I don't like the new version...they butchered the sole reason why this movie was touching.

  • Oh my god... No no no no no no no... there are some things that you should never touch... This movie is one of the. This thing sucks.

  • Hmm. Nothing compares to the original. I'm sorry. Lynn Holly Johnson and Robby Benson rocked it.

  • lynn holly was by far the better skater. she got up higher in the air on jumps and did much better spins.

  • @officialmelpeachey .........we agree again :) lynn holly johnson & robbie benson were amazing & everything fellt so real in that movie...i with you rick....xoxoxo Dakota

  • this was beautiful ^^

  • Best boyfriend ever.

  • Did anyone notice that they kept repeating the same combo spin four times? (Forward outside camel to layback to backsit with arm variation) God, I'm sure production values were low but they could have had her do another spin or two. Annoying.

  • I didn't know they made a remake.

  • Since this movie I always loved Lynn Holly. By the way she is also an ice skater in the James Bond movie, "FOR YOUR EYES ONLY."

  • sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not as good as the original...

  • @certifiedgreysonator But better.

  • The original was better...

  • great movie really like it so much!!!

  • @vanessa12099 did u see the original movie? It's way better! If you liked this- then you will LOVEEEEEEEEEE the real one.

  • @princessdisney26 yeah i'd really watch that movie!!I'ts very beautiful and lovely...

Iwish i could try it..With my special someone,,,,,,

  • super like this movie.................

  • who do they have singing the song at the end??

  • @avary818 melissa manchester looking throuh the eyes of love

  • @saily07 Actually that's not Melissa Manchester. That's some girl named Britt Nicole.

  • is she blind or something?

  • @renesmee23cullen should have seen the movie

  • I always notice the woman at 3:00 who's simultaneously clapping and frowning in apparent displeasure.

  • @Charmingwhiskers She was her coach before she became blind in the movie.

  • All the ads on the side kind of ruin it.

  • I like the original better with Paul Newman and it was called Slapshot..

  • Doesn't even touch the original 1978 version. Robby Benson was sexy!

  • I didn't even know they remade this, but that guy is ugly, sorry. Also, why does she do the same jump and spin three times?

  • much better than the original....

  • can't believe Britt did sing for this movie!!!!!!Great and it makes me cry :')

  • the original is so much better

  • I hate that she is doing the same piruett 3 times, camel spin into layback into sit spin...

  • This was a beautiful movie with very sad parts in in.. but at the and.. even if she don't get the chance to see.. it's a happy and because she's with him. The man who loves her. LOVED THE MOVIE!

  • love this part .. very mellow .. and graceful

  • its a disgrace to the original movie & its mellisa manchschter singing it

  • Independientemente de la versión, el mensaje el lo rico de la película, personalmente no me canso de ver la película, me encanta :)

  • so beautiful

  • britt nicole -through the eyes of love.

  • Plss someone tell me who sung this ?

  • sin duda alguna la versión del 78 fue mucho mejor!...

  • Por favor, me quedo con la primer versión,sin lugar a dudas. La actriz era más angelical, y Robby Benson, fantástico.

  • who actually sings this song at the end through the eyes of love?

  • Go back to the time when this movie was originally made in 1978, It was real life love story with no "special effects" more real life here back in 1978. the new version is a bunch of Mushy Fantasy Love for 2010 generation !! Lynn Holly Johnson version ending skate shows the true Raw talent of a Ice skater ! before they tossed Teddy Bears, so i guess now Miss America will get a Teddy Bear now instead of the Traditional Flowers ?? instead of redoing movies, lets restore the originals-remaster !

  • @onlyspicekitty AMEN SISTER!!

  • favorite movie <3

  • Não emociona como o original, essa moça não passa doçura como a outra, o de 1978 arrepia tudo, desculpe!!!!

  • 1978 version is much much.....more better !!!

  • Maravilhoso, história de vida pra quem tem saúde perfeita e ainda reclama, e olha o que se pode fazer mesmo cega.

  • i cried at this scene...

  • like wow nice

  • i love this whole movie. Especially how Nick still goes back with her in the end, true love is shown in this video

  • U re so right a men who loves u go for u everywhere , leaves everything for you and help you to being better in every moment.

  • we forgot about the flowerssss!!! -.- not bearsss.... i much prefer the 1978 version.... sorryy peeps......

  • @dwasten90 1978 version was WAY better. I only watched 2 clips from youtube and already bored- original is always better :) I love Robby Benson and the flowers- lol

  • Could someone please tell me who's the one singing at the end? Thanks

  • @TheConkyubine in the credits says britt nicole courtsy sparrow records

  • 請問這首歌的名字是啥??

  • 好聽好聽~但願我聽得懂!!><

  • I watch it all over and over again

  • 好感動喔

  • how doesn't anyone notice that most of the scenes are repeated throughout the whole program!?

  • Whos would dare to dislike this ??

  • @AkatsukiCraze Only the ones who has seen the original ...

  • @AkatsukiCraze I DON'T DISLIKE THIS, I DESPISE IT!!

  • p.s. Artist: John Lithgow??? Where?!

  • I agree with those who wonder why movies must be redone... I don't think there's ever been a single one I've prefered over the original, and this is no different. ..There's just too much missing; everybody in it, the feel of it.. the anxt, and sensitivity of young-love romance movies in the 70's.. the realness, and freer feel of the pre-PC times back then. The '78 was truly indicative of the era, and hard to beat~

  • O primeiro (1978) é melhor, tem um encanto e uma magia diferente, que emociona!

  • I love this movie! and never will I get tired of watching this again and again. :))

  • Beautiful Story regardless but nothing beats the Original movie.

  • I'm not really loyal to one version or another. They each suit the era they were made. Usually people prefer the version they saw first but that doesn't mean the girl skating in this isn't amazing. She is beautiful. I like both.

  • @icekat83 she is a professional figure skater qualified for the olympic...i think.

  • @joe700700 No she isnt :). I love this Film, but she only did the Axel Jump . I love her cuz her spin and spiral skills are marverlous, the lay back spin and the Flying sit spin : X: X: X

  • No one can beat the Original :)

  • Remakes are never as good as the original. Every aspect of this movie including the music is inferior to the original.

  • Don't know why everything has to be remade.... Lynn Holly Johnson's skating was much better than this.... and the orginal was a much better movie.

  • The original had more emotional punch at the end. Not sure why. Plus, nothing can beat Melissa Manchester. No offense, but she can't be outdone.

  • Ending of the original is more emotional, much better. Don't care who was involved. I'll stick with Lynn and Robby.

  • nothing beats the holly johnson and robby benson version

  • i love both versions... they both made me cry...

  • musica y pelicula inolvidables...aquellas que nos marcaron alguna vez

  • number one love story movie,,the best.

  • goose bumps..my gosh..this movie gives us a lots of lessons in life not only in love..

  • nothing can come close to Lynn Holly Johnson and the original !!!

  • hmm.. i love this movie.. i wish i had a boyfriend as great as him.. :3

  • Power of love and brave. Great!

  • Can anyone help me finding the soundtracks of the movie please??

  • @sosa22222 I don't know how you would find the soundtracks but I know Britt Nicole sang the song that began playing at 5:51 so try looking that way :]

  • now its bears instead of flowers :)

  • i love this

  • I grew up watching the 1978. I liked this one also.

  • the first one is classic, , is my favorite one

  • 10Poida - I got the movie at Target.com. Thanks. =)

  • @yourtruenorth Glad you found it. =) Its amazing, the most simple of movies (Include 'A Walk to Remember' in this category) are often the best and most moving. =)

  • Loved the original. It's not often I think a remake beats the original. But this did!! I loved it soo much!! Sooo moving and beautifully made. =)

  • This version is also a great one hope to see more and add more twist into it that would really makes us cry..this is so ice movie even from the old version up util now live it..

  • Cute Movie.

  • How can i found this song "only the music" but the remake.... 'cause its amazing!!

  • How can i find this song... " only the music" but this remake... that its wonderfull!!

  • Cute Movie! I cried when the boyfriend cried at the end of her performance and he CUTE too!! Where can I buy this movie?

  • @yourtruenorth Not sure where in the world you are. Im in Australia, and bought it at Kmart. It seems to be readily available =)

  • Fantastic! Way to go Taylor! She is amazing!

  • I thought this version was so much better than the original. taylor is fantastic and it shows! She is very inspirational. She has more grace and poise than any sketer i know. I feel it when she skates and the love connection in this version is more real and gets you right at the heart. Congrats to Taylor and the director for chosing her.

  • The final sequence actually looks like a seamless fully choreographed routine in the original version. You can easily spot in the remake where the same shots/angles were used more than once.

Sorry, but the remake doesn't match up to the original. That routine captured an innocent, wistful, and ethereal quality that is sorely lacking in the remake.

  • Why do we love this? At first glance it seems sappy - but in between the lines are the rich themes of struggle, hope, grace, rescue, reconciliation, and Love. These are themes the human soul longs to embrace, and this story arouses those longings.

  • For all the ones who are criticizing the 1st version, just remember that without it this piece of crap wouldn't exist

  • MUCH better the 1978s version

  • I see why it never made it to theatres, Lynn Holly- you were the inspiration to name my own daughter...Lexi

  • Simple, The originizal makes me cry all the time, the remake keeps me as if I were a piece of ice, that says it al!!!

  • nope....first version was so much better.....so much more subtle....

  • Really amazing remake and the dance sequence with the music touches every emotion. If we work hard we do anything. Just think what it will be like to live in a world when we will be able to do anything. its possible if we start by loving each other like the characters and never give up on our dreams.

  • I liked the original better. Lynn Holly Johnson was beautiful..This new girl just doesnt do the same justice to the story... the casting director must have had a thing for red heads...bad mov e !!!

  • well I had all intentions of viewing this video to insult it. However... the song if magnificent and the skating is also good. why the sponsors though???

  • The remake was cute, but it reminded me way too much of a lifetime original movie (not in a good way). It doesn't hold a candle to the original, especially with regards to the ending.

  • Pero de a donde esta naquita, se va comparar con la anterior de 1979 oseaaa, jamassss nooooo odieeee esta versionnnnn, quiero que suban la pelicula original

  • i saw the original film and its so good but i haven't saw the remake

the original film was so great

  • where can watch this Ice Castles full????

  • This movie was descent with some good modern moves and music updates, but gimme a break - Taylor Swift and whats his name compared to Lynn Holly and Robby Benson?? LMAO!! There is no comparison. Both could skate and act circles around the other two. Version 2 is a polished watered down remake, but the 1st is lightening in a bottle. Lynn Holly Johnson and Robby Benson are a real prince and princess - and as a straight guy i'm not even sure which one is hotter!! They are both magic.

  • Interesting how they made her imagine skating on her old pond in this last scene. Despite my being a die-hard fan of the 1978 version, I do think Taylor actually is a better actress than Lynn Holly was. I also like the fact that Taylor can hold spins for so long. Maybe I'm biased, because I'm an avid fan of her. But, of course, Robby Benson will ALWAYS be the perfect Nick!

  • the final of the 1978 version is better......

but I like both of them :)

  • 1978 version is much better than 2010 version, the actor and actress of 2010 version are more cute. :) but i really like the older version

  • And autotune for the theme song?! Really? What an effin insult.

  • Nope! Haven't watched the movie yet, but I'm biased. I'm already looking at the damn laptops, skimpy hoochy momma skating outfit, and completely over the top and contrived skating sequence, and knowing full well that the original has more sincerity and heart than this pretentious, empty shell of a remake.

  • DON"T LIKE DON"T WATCH!!!! GEEZ! I LOVE IT

  • ive seen both versions and usually im all for the classics but this one really impressed me.

  • Watching this makes me so angry. Why in the world did they have to remake Ice Castles, it was perfect.

  • seriously, same combination spin for four times??! they should pick a better skater to perform. shouldnt sasha cohen get this role? she's going into acting.

  • @enochxu Taylor is a fantastic skater, she didn't get to decide which spins and jumps went into the final role...she had a full set of triples and all her spins filmed and the director cut the choices down

  • @enochxu Well, maybe they liked Taylor because she can actually do extra long spins...but I think Robby Benson did a better job than Rob Mayes.

  • the finale scene of these remake does'nt move me at all unlike the original especially lynn holly johnson, you can feel her emotional finale skating scene matches her movement on the instrumental through the eyes of love, the looks of robby benson face....oh my.....her dad and her couch.... great performance.... the finale scene of the original really makes me cry.

  • the original ice castles is a way better than these, it has much more emotional and touching moment and of course it has more instrumental soundtrack than the remake, and melissa manchester song version has more feeling than brit nicole version. i never get tired watching the original again and again but the remake....once is enough.

  • LOVED THIS VERSION. Get the DVD & watch the "Special Effects" and you'll see the Director is the same as the original and he wanted specifics for this version - including a harder, sometimes angry (yet still sensitive) Nik, & also more emphasis on the relationship between Nik and Lexi. Lynn Holly Johnson was involved in this version & she loved it too. It's NOT the original, but so beautiful nonethelss! Watch all the extras on the DVD. =)

  • I Agree...The Performance Sucks....The Original Ice Castle Performance Is Far More Elegant Than This. And In he Original Movie I Had Goosebumps But In This I Dont Have Any Reaction

  • This is a much better version of "Ice Castles"!

  • I really did not like this version of the movie. And it is frustrating to see that they used the same clips of a move she does like 3 times.

  • the guy is definately cuter though! :)

  • Comment removed

  • @erikabee19

Robby Benson is way cuter than this guy. I mean, Robby looked like he was a refreshing college student, and this guy looks less refreshing and you can tell that Robby was into the character he portrayed, with all the lovey dovey looks at Lexie. At 2:55, he so does not look as in love with her like Robby did. I only like Britt Nicole's cover. Though in both movies, they repeated the same tricks (the old ones were better), any1 know why they did?

  • I hate this. Never remake a classic film like Ice Castles

  • "We forgot about the bears." Really??? I'll take Robby Benson and Lynn Holly Johnson, please.

  • @kyuti1 LMFAO im sitting here cracking up cause of that i just watched the original lmfao

  • @kyuti1 And those hideous 70's costumes? No.

  • @kyuti1 The bears....fuck me with a wire brush....I have no problem with remaking movies, etc. but was just so tht they would have no tie to the original. And the actor playing Robbie Benson's part was bland

  • This version sucks
