interesting to see the difference from earlier performances due to the effect of the great depression and ww2. she had become incredibly stifled. in earlier performances the wardrobe was inspired from mens fashion and incorporated athletic tap numbers and this is very simplistic and purely feminine. very interesting!
This video is 20 years after her 30's heyday? WTF!! She looks exactly the same! Still GORGEOUS!!!! However, I do have a problem with the slightly off key, acapella, Star Trek warblers. (ahhhhhhh--ahhhhhhhh-0000h-ahhhhhhh). Ina was a good singer. Should have sung the song herself!
What very talented women, each and every one of them! It's interesting how talented one can be. But because of the business end of show business, that talent only goes so far in one's success. Such is life. Thank you for posting this. I'm glad that more and more people are aware of this and many other all-woman orchestras.
