I'm from the U.S., and my three favorite shows are from Britain. (Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Merlin). (Of course, I like shows made here, but those three are my favorites). The BBC has awesome programming!! I don't know who'll they'll get as the 12th Doctor, David Tennant was (and always will be), the best "Doctor" ever!!

Well, firstly I REALLY don't want Matt Smith to leave just yet. I know he will eventually, but not yet. As to who show follow him up, my vote is either a woman or a ginger. I think a woman would be a nice change of pace and would make for some new and interesting tales, especially with some old companions. And if not a woman, let him be ginger at least. He's been wanting it for the past 2 incarnations.

@KreuzVega the doctor being a woman not possible, ginger maybe. if possible for a female time lord maybe a spin off series of the doctors daughter. even though she is a dna sample born from that machine from season 4 tecnically she is the same as the doctor. 2 hearts and can regenerate. would be nice to have a spin off series of her and her adventures in her timeline traveling the universe and saving planets and helping people out.

@HorsieGirl249 Word is they are trying to slot Cumberbatch into the next season in a major role, not as the Doctor. Speculation is that it would be as the Master, which also works well. It comes down to scheduling, if he has time he'll do it.

The obvious choice is Georgia Moffett - I don't know why she hasn't been suggested before. She's the daughter of one Dr, is married to another, and played the part of "The Doctor's Daughter" brilliantly. Plus in that episode she was revealed to be half time-lord already, so instead of regenerating, a dying Dr could give his life-force to her to make her fully a time-lord!
