The metal on the 8800 series inserts are actually magnesium, they are supposed to be plated with brass or copper. Over time it wears off. As far as I know the original Rain Jet corp was the only ones to use stainless, if you take out the insert on your 800 series that I gave you you will see that the bushing that holds the pop-up stem in place is stainless. Toro, James Hardie and Garden America, usually used magnesium.

Yeah, it was the half circle one from Woodward's. I did leave the quarter circle one for you which does say "The Toro Company" on the package.

I don't remember exactly but I think it's also "silver" (stainless steel ?) like the nozzle on this one.
