I haven't seen the movie yet but I've read the book and it was one of the best books I've ever read. The story was that of survival for people who had gumption. It was wonderful except for the fact that Scarlett became greedy and only thought about money which made her life and the people who loved her lives' miserable. If only she weren't too cross and greedy she would surely make her family happy.

I hope they do a remake. Remakes are not attempts to replace a movie, or about improving on it. This film will always be a great classic. But I read the story, and I would love to see a film of it. Im just not into old movies myself. I don't like the overacting. No one I talked to has seen this film except for two film students. Not even people my parents age. I think it would make a wonderful modern film. Its sad to see this story forgotten.
