One relatively obscure song which says it all about music radio. Impossible to find as a download as is the seminal "Caught in the Act of Being Ourselves" An absolute classic though I have to say I prefer the version released as a single.
Where is Mark Germino these days? Does he still perform? Last time I saw him was about 15 years ago at a small festival in either Nashville or Knoxville. Poor guy has a demon or two floating around that head of his. Hope he is doing well. Seemed like a very nice guy - obviously talented.
If anyone ever wants to know why so much UK local radio is currently unlistenable, repetitive, formatted drivel this song explains precisely how it happened.
I first heard this song on KPIG. I live in a small town, and KPIG (a Bay Area station) was carried here by a small local station, KQMS. KPIG is a great station with real disc jockies. KQMS dropped the KPIG feed in my town and inserted Rush Limbaugh & Glenn Beck in its place for higher ratings. Kinda like the song: anything for the bottom line.
@Happajuckus Hej Jeg er først for nyligt blevet opmærksom på Mark Germino. Jeg har kun kunnet identificere nogle af CD´er på internettet. Er Aomtic Candlestick for sale i en svensk shop? evt. på nettet? mvh

I totally agree with the comment above, it is a piece of social history and alas the damage is done now

To bad that it's so hard to get a hold of.
I live in Sweden and it's close to impossible to find any of his CD's here.

Du har inte möjlighet att skicka några? ;)
Min farsa har också hått tag i hans skivor, men för tillfället bor jag 160 mil ifrån platsen där de finns. :(
Man saknar dem ibland.
