Without using any mumbo jumbo shit and all that, Splinter Cell overall caught my attention a lot more than any Metal Gear game. Also, how could you not love Sam's really dark sense of humor?
Yeah, i definitely prefer the intro for the PS2 version, not only was it dramatic but it also helped inform people of the story. I wish they had used that version in the HD versions on the PS3 and they would have been perfect for me, but still, these are little details, i shouldn't really complain too much.

Have you guys noticed the background music in splinter cell 1 was used in assassin's creed brotherhood 3 when you are on a contract mission.. Check it out i freaks me.
I remember playing this when I was about 7 when it first came out and finding the gameplay unlike anything I'd ever played before. For me, Chaos Theory was the highlight of the series because it introduced new elements, expanded on the Splinter Cell formula but in all the right ways.
@TheGentlemansShadow Yepp. I really loved Splinter Cell, but Chaos Theory, c'mon, that was almost a new game with the same person! It was so awesome, the graphics were awesome. Chaost Theory is the best game in the series, then it's the normal one.

i kinda wish they incorpated more of the original coule splinter cells into Splinter Cell Conviction, like hiding bodies and stuff and alarms, it made it more difficult. O AND DOBERMANS aka PRESIDENTIAL PALACE! lol. gotta love sniping them dobermans and also runng away for your life as they catch your scent! lol
You know what? When I first saw this video I thought you could move the bullet like you do in Max Payne and I kept on trying to do it in the game and never could :p It did get me a bit disappointed though :'( I need to buy this game again. I have all the other ones but I never actually bought this one I just rented it like 30thousand times :/

Got the game at about 12 years. simply loved it! but then I was stuck on one mission where you shall follow a guy through some underground tunnels and then up an elevator and through some password protected doors for about 3 weeks playing like average of 2 hours a day on the same 3 minutes scene. tried like 10 214 times :( but then suddenly one night i woke up at 04.10 one morning with the solution to the problem... The infra red googles. Happiest gamingmoment ever!!! I nearly cried of joy :D

@AmericanBadass44 Walkthroughs are made Only For The Weak! ;) And if i watched a WT after 2 hours and 30 fails i'd never have the extreme(!) joy of actually come up with the solution myself ;) And to not give up and struggle at such a awful task for such an amount of time is quite a caracter buileder, so i'm pretty glad i did it ;D Struggeling and not giving up is a important part of life ;)

Apparently the NSA has become bureaucratic and impotent ... or something? (I'm going by previews I've seen of Conviction, but I never did play much of Double Agent. I want to.)
1. Splinter Cell 1: Amazing lighting and smart story and awesome gameplay and nice soundtrack.
2. Splinter Cell 3 CT: Same good features as first
3. Splinter Cell 4 DA: Doesn't stray too far from the formula as people say, even in the new gen versions. Great game.
4. Splinter Cell 2 PT: Very underrated, campaign could of been longer but still very fun. Lighting still great buy textures aren't as good. Good underrated storyline.
First one is right, you can't beat originality. , I can't pick an order as they each have thier own styles . So I just look at it like this, the first one was perfect, second was a bit on the wild side with the music and introduction of the spikey hair, third was a huge leap with the knife and increased agression but they made it work. The optional play dosn't go and that was carried into the fourth, just seemed a way of making money as working against NSA dosn't suit the game. Fifth one blows.
It's amazing how far splinter cell has come. My guess is that in conviction,he makes the deal with Williams,then Lambert calls him and wants to chat. He knew the whole time that the dude that hit Sarah,wasn't a drunk driver,he just told Sam he was drunk,so he would except the mission,but not go awry and mad for revenge. Then maybe they'll get a license plate number that will unfold into loads of events
if your talking about in conviction lambert is gonna call sam its not gonna happen if you dont remember at the end of splinter cell: double agent lambert dies in the last chapter/mission
It was a huge pain in the ass to sneak through the missions in this game, but man, I played a ridiculous amount of Splinter Cell back in the day. The intro gets me pumped up, and I wish the series would have stayed in this simple and awesome style. Song is Name of The Game by Crystal Method.
Just thinking back to the graphics, sound, game play, story... This game was so far ahead of it's time in all aspects. I want to go back to when it first came out to get that feel again. All the SC games are unique in their own right, though I personally find Ubi Montreal's first and third the best.
Just reinstalled Splinter Cell today on my PC and good god after 5 years this game still bitch slaps most stealth games of today. Amazing stealth masterpiece!

Note: Pandorra Tomorrow sucked because of the Ending. It was still a good playing experience to me and they improved the game interface from the original Splinter Cell.

To a certain degree, this game became rather prophetic. The Presidential election in Georgia in 2004 had (albeit in a longer perspective) rather dire consequences for the political situation in the Caucasus area..
Check out Clancy's Ghost Recon... it gets even more prophetic. But remember that Clancy's wife is Colin Powell's niece and that top generals have called Clancy a "Pentagon Insider."

It was a huge pain in the ass to sneak through the missions in this game, but man, I played a ridiculous amount of Splinter Cell back in the day. The intro gets me pumped up, and I wish the series would have stayed in this simple and awesome style. Song is Name of The Game by Crystal Method.

Just thinking back to the graphics, sound, game play, story... This game was so far ahead of it's time in all aspects. I want to go back to when it first came out to get that feel again. All the SC games are unique in their own right, though I personally find Ubi Montreal's first and third the best.

SC 1 is the best game ever made. I think everyone should play this game. It almost would be a crime to play SC3 and 4 without having played the 1st.

I love this series!! This intro, every time I see it, makes me so hype to play this game. Good use of "Name of the Game" By the Crystal Method.
Note: Pandorra Tomorrow sucked because of the Ending. It was still a good playing experience to me and they improved the game interface from the original Splinter Cell.

2WorldWar2..I recieved your reply...Pandora tommorow sucks because it has lame graphics and I can tell you in Pandora Tomorow you can onl whistle and I dont know if u can knock ppl out...Chaos theory and double agent has more cool graphic and good stroey lines..My pandora tommorow game is glitchy..I always walked through walls,float and only see characters and no backgrounds...You can ask someone else about other informations about why PANDORA TOMMOROW SUCKS or read comments about it

To a certain degree, this game became rather prophetic. The Presidential election in Georgia in 2004 had (albeit in a longer perspective) rather dire consequences for the political situation in the Caucasus area..
