well i used to take karate and without a choice this was my weapon this is a easy kata but it wasnt the first one i was thought this one is fairly easy to learn though if u have handling on ur sais
Excuse me, I'm sorry to comment, I'm NO expert, but shouln't you have a bit more straight? You are leaning forward too much, making it easyer to throw you off balance. In my perspective the sai are not soo much of an ofensive weapon but a block and counter, that is how you use the little hooky things on the sides. But please correct me if I'm wrong, the only other possible explanation for this is an offensive attempt by reaching forward, (otherwise is the kata is wrong???)
It's amazing how people like to complain and bad mouth people ! He's practicing and doing something that's important to him ! His teacher will fix his form if need be , and as the years pass his dedication will show !!!! OSU !!!!!
o.k. nice kata to learn. Just give your performance more budo and don't look at your weapon all the time. Your imaginary opponent is important to look at, not your sai.
Nice kata dude, however I mis the conviction in the kata. Furthermore, mind your stance you are always bending forward. Keep your back straight eventhough you are using your hips.

Thanks for sharing, by my next comment I mean no disrespect to you: If you play this Kata in front of Sensei James Coffman, you will fail miserably.

The name of this kata (as I was told) is Sai Kata Number 1. It was a fun kata to learn and I would suggest learning it.
I will post more kata as we learn them.
