I have just fallen in love with this song and this singer. To me, a great song is one you hear that you can tell (just from your heart) what the melody is going to do next. Cont for whogas. Well I heard the Dad say that, and so did Eddie. He put down his accordion, grabbed a CD, opened it, autographed it, went to the little girl and said " Merry Christmas little girl". It made her day, and I'll never forget it!! By the way, I was told Eddie was in Hospital during those cancelled dates you are bitching about. I hope this makes you feel as petty as you sound!! @maletnessscott in the hospital ? is that why most of the people went from johns pass to another st patricks day concert to see him. He picks and chooses where he wants to go, and if someone offers him more money to play somewhere else he will cancel the already scheduled event. call him a friend if you want but dont count on him to be there. Yo whogas, I was Eddies guitar player for 2 years. He is a very gracious person who always has time for his fans and knows that they are the reason he has the priveledge of touring. I remember once in Ottawa, at Xmas, there was a young family with a 3 or 4 year old girl who just spent all their money and didn't have the price of a CD. The Dad was kneeling by the daughter, and was saying " this is who we are, this is about your heritage. If I'd known he was here I would've got it for you.

Eddie Coffey screwed up my whole spring vacation. While in St. Pete florida he cancelled his shows 3 times, an hour before he was due to perform. The first time he cancelled was on St. Patricks day at Johns Pass. There were people there with Eddie Coffey shirts on excited to see him. They were very pissed when told "he" cancelled. The second and third time was at the wagon wheel flea market. Also alot of pissed off people.He obviousely does not care about his fans.

When I came home in August and was stranded in North Sydney for the day (when the Atlantic Vision caught fire) I was lucky enough to be parked across from the stage because the Eddy Coffey Group stranded there as well. They put off 2 shows that day and gave up their tickets to stay and play for all the stranded people over the next few days until MA cleaned up their mess.

Walked into The Regent Mall in Fredericton in December 2009 and there was Eddy and his wife(?) singing and playing Grey Foggy Day at the entrance! Being a Newfoundlander, obviously I stopped to listen and bought a CD to support our musicians from NFLD who keep the music alive!
