Not sure exactly... I heard a rumor... that seems to be pretty reliable, that in an interview Date Koji mentioned that Tenimyu could be a waste of time. Apparently, he lost a crapton of fans and his blog shut down for a couple of months. I thought it was just him trying the whole 'solo artist' thing, but he never graduated like Kazuki or any of the other actors did. That's just a rumor though and I can't say that's true with all certainty. I wish I knew more about what really happened.

how can that rumor be true though... i mean, he made very close friends in Tenimyu and he even cried when 2nd generation was graduating. He cried when RuiRui cried bcuz it was RuiRui's birthday. It looked like he was having a really good time. And I thought KenKen was his best friend during Tenimyu... awes... thats sooo sad!! T3T wait, didnt this happen about four years ago though? if it is true, he could have taken it back, rite?

Yeah, again this is a rumor - I really don't know if it's true and I don't really think it is either. Apparently, he did apologize though. On another note, in an interview, apparently KenKen and Date didn't get along at first. KenKen would get mad easily when he was frustrated and Date would talk about KenKen because of it. That was in a separate interview - but by the end they were good friends. As for the rumor-thing that's just what I heard off another site. I hope it isn't true.

@ShusukeFujisWife It wasnt a rumor he said on a live interview that he didnt like acting he prefered music and singing so tenimyu was boring... He also mentioned in same interview the he often forgot lyrics and got distracted... afterward he posted a public apology on his own blog which has now been deleted because of the negative comments he recieved on it. (i wont defend date he couldve handled it all better then he did but he persued the career he wanted so yusuke was offered the part)

For clarification this clip is from one of "The Prince of Tennis" Musicals. Season is the name of the song they are singing and was basically their team song. The actors are almost all of the originally cast actors for their parts except Ootori (The one that's crying). They had "graduated" from the musicals some time ago but were brought back when their characters made a reappearance.
