I said no, it doesn't work like that. Seller insisted so I contacted eBay and they said not to pay it. Seller insults me for 4 days. Not all sellers are angels
hey joe i dont know if you remember me i was trading on ebay in 2008 and this is when they closed my account. I have never returned to ebay since as i was scammed by a buyer and his group of crooks he had on ebay. I have now made my own site and now trade full time as a business through my site than ebay. My advice to you joe and anyone is learn about the internet and how people find websites and make your own business. ebay is a waste of time and money. message me for more advice and help. tnx
Beware of icevoloto. You can see her feedback by Googling her ID, because Ebay has made her feedback private. She gives neg for spurious reasons then extorts a refund to take it off. I didn't let her have the item free so I sport her neg. Despite her overt extortion Ebay wouldn't remove the neg. Detestable.
ebay gave money back to buyer that clearly had switched out parts on item he bought. He claimed it was bad, but when I got it back the power cord was different, s#'s no matched, chassis and circuit board had been switched out. I filed complaint with ebay, they said let him open case...they gave him his money back and never even contacted me about the claim!! I am victim of crime and ebay is complicit. What can I do, ??this is not the first time either.
Love the escrow idea. That's what Paypal does to sellers by holding funds for 3 weeks. Also, Buyers with less than 5 feedbacks should be forced to mediation before a negative can be left. Newbie buyers don't understadd the financial impact negative feedback creates for sellers. This end up costing everyone money in the form of higher prices. Have you noticed eBay is no longer the bargain it used to be. That is because sellers as passing the cost of "getting dicked over" to the buyers.
Hey Joe, great video once again. Listen, I believe you should be working FOR ebay. Yes, FOR ebay in their offices. You have some great ideas and they need to be implemented. Last year I was a risk taker. I sold $250+ smartphones overseas. Several were with USPS so no online trackable signature. Funny thing is that the only time I met a scammer was a scammer in Brooklyn, NYC! I won at the end though, but not after 2 months of aggravation.

I am sure some have only a buyer account and a seller account but how do you find out if they do have a sellers account to DICK them over??? Hey Joe, love your videos. Almost 2000 feedbacks Ebay seller here. Got something you might want to hear. A braindead buyer opened an 'item not described' case against me before he even paid for it. Spent hours on hold and arguing with Ebay over the phone - lied to, hung up on, promised action which was never taken, etc. Oh yeah the whole deal. Well I decided to open up a case with the San Jose BBB on Oct 24th. (continued...)
@thekobos Someone from Ebay got back to the claim 2.5 months later and said that a buyer shouldn't be able to open the case if he hadn't paid. Well the problem of course is that he DID open the case (actually 2 of them - one for each item) before paying. Gave them the case numbers and Paypal transaction ID with the timestamp. Still waiting to see what lame excuse they make next. A constant battle with those jerks!!!!!!!!!!

The best thing you can do is to withdraw your listings and use another site ie Ebid, CQout there are more out there the only reason ebay stay at the top is because people do not vote with a click of the mouse there way too busy trying to £&^% ebay up the best way to do this is to MOVE your account or run another account in tandem as every sale via an alternative site is a sale lost to ebay.

Emailed seller and his reply was (the key is what is worth money, not the cd). Hello, the key is no good without the CD. He tells me to download a copy from the internet. Had to file a SNAD. I just want a CD that works and he says to me to download a copy. No, he can mail me a copy so that I can use the unlock key. Oh, Happy New Years!!!

What a great idea of adding money Joe, I think it would definitely prevent these guys from doing that... Maybe if ebay would listen to their consumers and not disregard complaints, things wouldn't be so messed up. Just like paypal always disregards customer complaints, I think they want people to shove (paypal sucks dot com) up there asses. Because I told them to take a look for themselves and they don't care, when there's so much evidence that they are dicking people as you say.
story part 1: Anything I list is always described clearly and accurately with photos. I never felt comfortable with leaving feedback to buyers before they leave me feedback, but after a while of not hearing from a bunch of buyers I decided to leave everyone who didn't leave me feedback a great positive to encourage them to give me good feedback....
story part 2: One asshole responded with a NEG. This guy claimed in the neg that he didn't get the windows OS as described in the sale of a bunch of branded oem system recovery cds. I thought this guy must be stupid because the OS is a vital part the system recovery and it's labeled on the discs. I was never once emailed by this guy. If he truly believed he didn't get something as described then not even bother to complain first is very strange.

another story part 2: This guy had well over 1000 feedback and was a business seller with a good reputation. I thought what a total asshole but what could I do. It did cross my mind to buy on one of his items. He had one very expensive item for sale, I was tempted to bid on it in a fake account but I didn't because it would be too obvious to him that it was me trying to get some revenge being so soon after.

It was my Sony TC755 ten inch reel to reel recorder that is in my latest vids (The WHO). It was an epic fail = NO SALE! Only four watchers! In a way I'm glad it did not sell, I was afraid it would end up being a give away - like a Paypal chargeback or some BS like that. It was a nervous nail biter week for me!

So say you want $100 for the item, list it for $150 but set the "best offer" option to accept offers of $100 or more. The auction will run for one month and only costs you 20 cents! however if the item sells, ebay clocks you for 12% or $12 out of $100

I've been buying all along, but not as much as I used to - hence umajunkcollector-junkie! I got the Sony from ebay - but it needed repairs (mostly some oil and adjustments). It works now, so it is worth much more than I paid for it. I really like the reel tape deck. I want a fancier one, but I'd have to profit from the Sony to afford a Teac. Um gonna keep the Sony, I like it!

Block buyers who:
Have received 2 Unpaid Item strike(s) within 1 Month(s)
Have 4 Policy Violation report(s) within 1 Month(s)
Have a feedback score of -1 or lower
that will hopefully minimize deadbeats. Does ebay tell you this? probably not.

Joe, that is a great idea if the crap-ola buyer is also a seller of items. How do you go about these crap-ola buyers/bidders who do not sell items on Ebay? I am sure some have only a buyer account and a seller account but how do you find out if they do have a sellers account to DICK them over???
