  • where did you get the foam?

  • BIOWEAPONS... Eapons must be pretty lucky.....

  • @Cheesy2CheesyTaco I don't get it

  • I can make one stronger than that purely out of 30-inch foamboard...

Problem is the details,I don't know how to scroll around my daedric stuff on pc.

  • WOW THAT IS WASOME

  • Imagine getting cut with one of these in real life.

  • can someone help me with this, I want to make the costume of a witherun guard. and I dont know what weapons they have on them. does someone know it and does someone know how to make a helmet like the guard has? Please react!

  • I'm looking forward to making this either after I get a job [for the money] or after my birthday.

After I get a job though I will be making a set of Daedric armor out of aluminum sheets or other forms of sheet metal. [I won't be able to make the armor without a job though, of which that SUCKS!!!]

Btw, I sent you a message through your site.

  • $250, REALY, I can make one for £50($60-$70)

  • @123sweyn Material wise, sure you can,... if your lucky, and you have the skill. Eagerly awaiting a reply video showing your completed sword. lol

  • @TheGuyverGuy Wow, You really show great craftsmanship, Havn't seen anyone with enough talent to make a daedric sword this great on youtube yet. Congratulations bro, Wish i had the skill and patience you have.

  • So, I need to make Saber's sword from Fate/Extra, and it's a little taller then me. How should I go about that?

  • @PierceDallas Without seeing the sword in question I would assume you can make it the same way, just with a longer skeletal bracing inside, possible a long wooden dowel rod.

  • DUDE This is awesome cool!!! Especially the Guyver suit. You're very creative. I saw your post at RPF while looking around for some info on a mod I'm making for the game, and had to check the vids. Awesome work!!! I can't wait to see the armor.

  • @TheGuyverGuy will this be done by hallween 2012? like, the full armor, i really want to go as a Daedric Knight for Halloween D:

  • you should post a vid with the armor

  • @xatblasterx I plan to document the armor build, videos will start as soon as I have time to start on the build, sometime in the next few months.

  • @TheGuyverGuy awesome i can't wait and this sword came out amazing.

  • oh man... skyrim on a projector, that would be fun!!!

  • can we get some templates?

  • This is awesome. O_O

  • WHERE DO YOU GET THE EVA FOAM?!? i needa sum :3

  • @DayShadow94 Lately I have been buying it from K-mart,.. but most any automotive or sporting goods departments should carry it.

  • @TheGuyverGuy THANK YOU!!! :D

  • it cost $250 per sword on the site. well im down $500.....WORTH IT!!

  • "seam in"

    lol

  • Could you scan the sword drawing for help making some?

  • just for refferences dude, try harbor freight tools, they sell the foam in 4pc packs, only reason i know this is cause i'm a regular shopper with them, and if you're an inside track club memeber with them, ya get the mats real cheap sometimes, hell i am workin on a project right now and got 8 packs of the mats for $6 each. just point it out to ya

  • @DEATH111183 Aye they have foam cheap, good for practice, however I don't prefer using their foam, its not as dense as other brands and doesn't work quite as well. (look for brands that have the "microban" treatment added and come in packs of 6 sheets)

  • @TheGuyverGuy well true, the foam isn't as dense, but for density, use some shaped posterboard as a template, and a heatgun on the foam to make it more ridged, then while heating bend and flex the foam around the posterboard template and heat till it hold's it's shape, then just fit it to the bodysuit, or rigging you like, and vuallah!! instant armor segments

  • @DEATH111183 When I first started working with EVA about 8 years ago I used only the harbor freight which works just fine for making most things. After much experimentation with the different brands I found that the denser EVA, while more costly, forms easier and will hold it's shape better when heat formed and especially when sanding and detailing it with a dremil or hot knife yields a much smoother and cleaner final product. The denser cell structure also makes it easier to seal.

  • @TheGuyverGuy well, takes a bit of skill in ether aspect. kinda like pinstriping a car, i find using the same foam matting i buy at HFT works real good for the sanding and whatnot. but i also before painting use a latex base primer to put the pain on over, all my paints being latex base still gives the foam room to flex and not crack. hopefully when i get my projects the quality i want them to be i'll share my info like everyone else does... not quite there yet though, one project i'll wow ya.

  • Bad ass dude good job

  • I sense the end result is going to be amazing.. :)

  • Awesome as always Dave! Give me a hollar if you have time sometime, dropped you an e-mail a couple of weeks ago about some ME stuff. (uubergeek)

  • Guyver guy!!! welcome back. where's all your guyver suit videos?
