this game is more balanced than mw2 though. The thing that kills it is maps like fallen, carbon, and downturn or turndown. Those maps are the worst in my opinion, along with assasin being immune to emp is just too overpowered, also the semtex and frag granades are very weak, and when i shoot somebody with an rpg right next to him he still lives. The assault rifles all with or without silencer sound the same. Seems like IW got lazy doing this game
interesting to see how people are finally realizing that bf3 is the game for those who are getting tired of the same old cod series. over time the better game will always shine. sure bf3 has its issues but the overall concept is so much more dynamic, diverse, complex and fun. but the catch is, it takes time to get good at. it forces you to expand your playstyles to win. i dont mind this cause eventually kills/wins become more rewarding. in the end you become well rounded-a true battlefielder.
I agree, I never used to like shooting games until cod, I still play COD4 it's an all round great game, COD6 was great also, but this new one is just terrible, I won't get the new one because I cannot see them getting better.

The knifing has become just as bad as commando from mw2. The final stand with c4 meant they lied about taking it out just like commando, the knifing was perfect at the beginning but if you say you're glad they took out commando and then complain the knifings bad, Wth do you want? Now it's commando again basically. Other then that and the HORRIBLE lag that's worse than mw2, it's an awesome cod.
Pwn this is the second time I've watched this review. The first time was before I bought the game, and I just watched it now after playing MW3 for a few weeks. I can totally agree with everything you have said and I completely understand. And when I say this I am not joking at all: you need to make the next CoD. akimbo fmg9 type95 and assassin. enough said. take those away the game is perfect. assassin is too op, no uav, no port radar, no heartbeat, can't be affected by c-uav or emp. most op perk in the history of cod. yes worse than ghost, worse than oma, worse than commando.
The thing i hate the most is the launchers.. when you play with ac130 or some high killstreak and your first killstreak is attack helicopter, its not fun to call it in and see it go down under 5 seconds.

Good commentary/vid. I bought this game when it first came out and after the 1st month I brought it back. No game will ever be perfect but this was an extreme let down. Too many perks, nothing really fixed, people not communicating, playing for the objective etc. I still think the game has a small level of fun involved but over all I'd rather play something that doesn't piss me off for rewarding bad players.

My only REAL issue with the game is the inconsistency/ lag. I can deal with campers, BS streaks, and 9 stealth bombers a game, but that stuff would be so much easier to deal with if the people I shot actually died...
Killstreaks are overrated anyway. LMG with blind eye pro will drop absolutely everything in around half a clip (even osprey!), except the AC 130 which it can't reach (stinger does that job though). UAV is stronger than every other killstreak unless assassin is equipped, and is cheapest in kill cost.
The big problems with this game are the few terrible weapons (like shotgun/dragunov), lag comp (seems to have been worked a bit though), and SPAWNS (you should never, ever spawn + die w/in 1 sec).
Stopping power is a horrible idea simply because it wastes a perk slot. You have to have it in order to win gunfights, and everyone has it, so there is no advantage, no variety in the gameplay. I also hate both perks and attachments that alter your rate of fire. If your gun doesnt shoot fast enough, pick one that does. If you can alter the base stats of a gun like that, then there is no need for the variety of guns they put in, other than aesthetics.
Like the vid, but botching about knifing proves that no matter what they do, we complain. We wanted stopping power out, got it out, and know we want it back? I know it will cure the assassin birch perk, but then it would take out blast shield, QuickDraw, and my favorite, overkill out. In my opinion mw3 is just depending on your own opinion.
your totally right pwn. but the support killstreaks are also for good players. like when you get stealth bomber, some people can get that high of a killstreak. i myself am an average player and get those alot, but from getting solid kills. i also think the fmg9 needs to be a main machine gun. it is ridiculously overpowered. i have had at least 15-20 good games ruined from some guy with akimbo fmg9s
i fully support your views on grenades and explosives. for my history in call of duty ive always used frags, now i find myself forced too use semtex for sticks. it took me like 20 for the first grenade marksman challenge
The striker is not at all overpowered. U will not do as good with it as u would with a submachine gun ever. Its only overpowered when u compare it to other shotguns. Buff the other shotguns because right now theyre unusable
The game is meant to be fun for everyone who want to pick it up and play when ever they feel likle it. Some people dont have the time to sit for hours practicing to get better at any great speed so why shouldnt they use what they can to enhance their experience in game not everyone is a pro. Yes I cant stand campers, akimbo noobs and noob tubers they are all aspects of the game that need adressing but its COD and these problems have been in every title with online multiplayer for years.
I dont call it camping. I call it playing tactically. I dont just sit in a corner the whole game. i use an area that my portable radar will cover and use the whole area. i move around, i use one spot in that area, kill a few, move, kill a few more and repeat. Thats how i end up doing good. Thats how i like to play the game. you gotta love going flawless in FFA and getting a moab. i know i do.

I know what you mean by the whole "its in the game so i can use it" thing. in my days of mw2 (i got it and xbox live late 2010) i never used any death streaks other than copycat. i occasionally used the ump/noobtube but i didnt abuse them. favorite setup: vector w/ rds/extended mags. Im hoping to get mw3 in the next few days and im watching videos on them to see how te games plays, if anybody could tell me as in lag issues etc that would be awesome :)
@roberta7770 do not get this game! at least not until its worth whats its really worth: $20. Dont waste your money on the POS game. Spawing is horrible. Lag can be outrageous sometimes. And dont even get me started on the maps. This game has too many problems that patching cant fix. And your not missing out if you have MW2, its the same f***king thing. In my opinion the graphics are worse and the campaign has a half ass story line. This game is horrible do not get it.
@roberta7770 The lag for me is really not bad at all. that probably varies from person to person though. i think that it is way better than mw2. that also varies from person to person. And unlike Tomatthanex, I think that the campaign is the best in the MW series. Great game in my opinion.

Why should I be rewarded for doing well? Its the bad players that need to be rewarded to even the field. If I kill someone and move up why should they not spawn behind me? I got killed a crap ton by explosives in mw2 so IW definitely shouldn't make them better. It encouraged people to camp with rpg's and noobtubes. The knife should imo be removed because the person with the least amount of lag always wins. Which isn't fair at all.

I don't think anyone can argue that they havn't changed much since modern warfare 2, just tweaks and some new weapons and maps, nothing dlc couldn't add lol. But hey, at the end of the day i suppose they are just milking a winning formula and if it earns millions then why not? The real reason they took out stopping power was because IT ALWAYS took the second tier. For mw2 I wanted to use hardline but you can't say no to getting faster kills. It just occuiped the second tier.

For Support Killstreaks, they should decrease the players streak by 1 everytime they die. This means that someone playing the objective who is just unlucky, can still get their killstreaks but a generally bad player who gets 14-99 in a game will not get any killstreaks as they die repetatively... :)
I love the striker as it is, it's just better than the other shotguns, but it's limited with range compared to all other guns, plus it's a lot of fun to use. I agree the fmg9s are op though. I also think that players still earn it with support killstreaks. You still have to kill the other team, take out air support, or capture the objectives. The support killstreak setup encourages playing the objective, the assault killstreak encourages camping.
What you seem to overlook is the fact that support killstreaks reward the people who actually play objectively and shoot down air support.Which clearly isn't you. As I was watching this video, you didn't even bother to pick up 80% of the tags you could've gotten. Not everybody is as good as you pwnstar. Not everybody likes to play the game for high kills and a high K/D.
From what I heard FMG9s are going to be nerfed.. Range-wise only i think? Anyway they should also beef up Blast Shield, beef the grenades a bit more and fix the spawns :)) Type 95 is OK for me in my honest opinion. I mostly play with shotties and people/rushers tend to forget to stop at corners and that's why they get bummed by FMG9s and the shotties. The Support Streaks should not be removed though as it rewards those who really play the objectives and carry all the AA to take out Air Support.

I definitely agree with you on thw stealth bomber topic but with thw escort airdrop thing or whatever, i think thtat they should keep those, its easy ti destroy them (2-3 shots from a stinger) and its hard sometimes to defend all of those packages, especially if you get killed, someone can easily steal them. Your stealth bombers and emps dont help me when you call them in at the end of the game. Run streaks that actually help your team and actually play the objective then okay.

i use support for uavs, cuavs, and advanced uav to help my team, and i do better knowing where people are. i agree that there should be no lethal support streaks.

my idea for the FMG9 would be if you have akimbo then the recoils spreads the guns apart and killing the range to AA12 category (and always a slower rate of fire)

i like how you hear your enemy rage after you have killed them, i think quick draw is just as important as stopping power, in a fast paced game you need to have your red dot on your enemy as soon as possible, and i always lead with assists because i constantly flash with quick draw pro on dome, mw3 streak and perk setup everything cancels everything else it makes for constant action, the only thing i dislike about the game is the wack spawn and die that sometimes happens, + type 95 and akimbo
COD is a game for little kids to play. It takes no skill at all. I have a solution to your problems however. Its called return that shitty MW3 game, get your boner ready for Black Ops 2, and in the meantime have an affair with Battlefield 3, one of the best games I have ever played.

My only REAL issue with the game is the inconsistency/ lag. I can deal with campers, BS streaks, and 9 stealth bombers a game, but that stuff would be so much easier to deal with if the people I shot actually died...

Killstreaks are overrated anyway. LMG with blind eye pro will drop absolutely everything in around half a clip (even osprey!), except the AC 130 which it can't reach (stinger does that job though). UAV is stronger than every other killstreak unless assassin is equipped, and is cheapest in kill cost.
The big problems with this game are the few terrible weapons (like shotgun/dragunov), lag comp (seems to have been worked a bit though), and SPAWNS (you should never, ever spawn + die w/in 1 sec).

Stopping power is a horrible idea simply because it wastes a perk slot. You have to have it in order to win gunfights, and everyone has it, so there is no advantage, no variety in the gameplay. I also hate both perks and attachments that alter your rate of fire. If your gun doesnt shoot fast enough, pick one that does. If you can alter the base stats of a gun like that, then there is no need for the variety of guns they put in, other than aesthetics.

Like the vid, but botching about knifing proves that no matter what they do, we complain. We wanted stopping power out, got it out, and know we want it back? I know it will cure the assassin birch perk, but then it would take out blast shield, QuickDraw, and my favorite, overkill out. In my opinion mw3 is just depending on your own opinion.

The game is meant to be fun for everyone who want to pick it up and play when ever they feel likle it. Some people dont have the time to sit for hours practicing to get better at any great speed so why shouldnt they use what they can to enhance their experience in game not everyone is a pro. Yes I cant stand campers, akimbo noobs and noob tubers they are all aspects of the game that need adressing but its COD and these problems have been in every title with online multiplayer for years.

I dont call it camping. I call it playing tactically. I dont just sit in a corner the whole game. i use an area that my portable radar will cover and use the whole area. i move around, i use one spot in that area, kill a few, move, kill a few more and repeat. Thats how i end up doing good. Thats how i like to play the game. you gotta love going flawless in FFA and getting a moab. i know i do.

I know what you mean by the whole "its in the game so i can use it" thing. in my days of mw2 (i got it and xbox live late 2010) i never used any death streaks other than copycat. i occasionally used the ump/noobtube but i didnt abuse them. favorite setup: vector w/ rds/extended mags. Im hoping to get mw3 in the next few days and im watching videos on them to see how te games plays, if anybody could tell me as in lag issues etc that would be awesome :)

For Support Killstreaks, they should decrease the players streak by 1 everytime they die. This means that someone playing the objective who is just unlucky, can still get their killstreaks but a generally bad player who gets 14-99 in a game will not get any killstreaks as they die repetatively... :)

I love the striker as it is, it's just better than the other shotguns, but it's limited with range compared to all other guns, plus it's a lot of fun to use. I agree the fmg9s are op though. I also think that players still earn it with support killstreaks. You still have to kill the other team, take out air support, or capture the objectives. The support killstreak setup encourages playing the objective, the assault killstreak encourages camping.

From what I heard FMG9s are going to be nerfed.. Range-wise only i think? Anyway they should also beef up Blast Shield, beef the grenades a bit more and fix the spawns :)) Type 95 is OK for me in my honest opinion. I mostly play with shotties and people/rushers tend to forget to stop at corners and that's why they get bummed by FMG9s and the shotties. The Support Streaks should not be removed though as it rewards those who really play the objectives and carry all the AA to take out Air Support.

I definitely agree with you on thw stealth bomber topic but with thw escort airdrop thing or whatever, i think thtat they should keep those, its easy ti destroy them (2-3 shots from a stinger) and its hard sometimes to defend all of those packages, especially if you get killed, someone can easily steal them. i like how you hear your enemy rage after you have killed them, i think quick draw is just as important as stopping power, in a fast paced game you need to have your red dot on your enemy as soon as possible, and i always lead with assists because i constantly flash with quick draw pro on dome, mw3 streak and perk setup everything cancels everything else it makes for constant action, the only thing i dislike about the game is the wack spawn and die that sometimes happens, + type 95 and akimbo

I can't complain much about support except the stealth bomber because I used it, but assault and specialist show the true skill of a player. Compared to many I'm just an average player but I'm good enough to

I got MW3 as a gift. I'm glad I did, because after playing it for a while, I felt glad that I didn't spend my money on it. A game is meant to for fun, but I don't have fun with MW3 - I rage! MW3 is more trouble than it's worth.

I agree about the type 95, support lethality and especially the death streaks, but I wonder why lag compensation dint get a mention. It makes this games lick dick
