the RAIN word is newly added to this song so the current chris sings Rain wherever it is.....originally this song was Black Wings.......19 years ago.....they replaced wings with rain because it made more sense and Chris did some backing to his younger voice and sang Rain

@GHEE4345 I don't know. Listen at 2:58 onwards after Chris sings "Black Rain" You hear a different texture to his voice when he starts singing "Cry on". His voice sounds far too different for those notes sung in the verses to be current. The verses sounds like Chris from his Badmotorfinger era. The audio is my only proof.

Anyone who talks shit on CC's voice is an ignorant peice of shit. The only argument you have is when he was at his worst with Audioslave he was drinking too much, smoking too much and doing too many drugs and in my opinion he still sounded pretty good. Since he's quit drinking and smoking however he sounds just as good as he did when he was a kid and Soundgarden was just getting started. Greatest singer of my generation. Long live 90s rock.

However, certain parts are Chris Cornell circa 2010 (the chorus and some backing vocals). Specifically, 0:00 to 1:11 is 1993, and 1:13 to 1:32 is 2010. Plus, there is no way in hell Cornell will ever be able to sing with that amount of power ever again, and it shows.
