The Mighty B rocks!!! Thanks Amy Poehler for creating such a funny show that's now on the Nicktoons channel. I sure wish The Mighty B will be a feature length animated movie just like both The Simpsons & South Park when they made into feature movies. It'll be so cool to see Bessie Higgenbottom on the big screen.

I think people are so hard on The Mighty B because the main character has such a drastic difference in personality compared to other female protagonists. She's too dorky for some, and they bash her for not being what they expect. What they don't realize is that the show is parodying the difference between "cool" girls and "nerdy" girls! B and Penny are fun and happy, while the cool girls are just downright stiff. The show is never predictable or perfect, which is why I love it!

@Aargh14 Bessie was definitely intended to be a vast departure from the standard female protagonist model; co-creator Cynthia True described the majority of female protagonists as "straight-men and sidekicks." Notice how most female characters are strong, smart, pretty, and, in all respects, bland.

This is why I found Bessie a lot more believable than most female protagonists. She's goofy and silly, but anyone can empathize with her.
