Most Americans only speak one language sadly because our education system doesn't even introduce other languages until were older and the classes are pretty insufficient. So I know how hard it can be to learn ANY language when you've only had one tongue your whole life. That's where I was coming from with my comment.

My french might be somewhat better but I started in grade 4 and then in grade 7 I switched to total immersion( one english class 2 days a week) then again I live on the east coast and speak "franglais" and not real France like french. ok this is the first time I see an american trying to speak in french congratulation miss!!!,. I've learned but I make some mistakes in english 'cause I don't know all the words or verbs and tenses in english myself. I 've leaned with dictionnary, songs and practice, now I know how its hard.. thanks for your video

@jtwhite0 don't worry lol I've learned the english by myself with no courses. I admit that the french is so hard for the english or americain people. Myself I need to learn some verbs ans some other words but... there are some expression on each lang which is not translatable lollll writing english is simple but not french.
j'ai apprit par moi-même l'anglais sans cours, le français est assez difficile pour les gens anglais et américains .

@jimkanuk Tu fais donc référence aux idiomes. Le français est ma seconde langue et l'anglais mon troisième. L'anglais est plus facile pour moi parce je vis ici au État-Unis.

this is good for a start... but this is not the worst i've ever heard... an exemple, look for "funny how time flies when you're having fun" by janet jackson... well, she speaks french at the beginning and it's so bad that i didn't understand half of the things she says...

So lucky you are then since u know that simple past is actually not used (almost at all) in oral French, replaced by composed past in general which is extremely easy. :p
