yes it´s much if you have to work for it..!! BTW I got this CPU and it is very fast!! I recommend it.. Before it i had a 550MHz AMD, so it was a big step for me :D

What kind of noise problems are we talking about? I had some noise problem when I overclocked higher than 3.5GHz, on 3.8GHz the sound cracks like if it's from an old movie. I tried both the onboard soundcard and my seperate X-fi, but it kept occuring.

And what is ACC? I never heard of it.

Is it coming from the PSU or it's the board itself?

The reason im asking is because i can't settle on a x58 board, and im between and ASUS P6T Delux V2 and a GigaByte UD4 board.

I found some people talking about squealing noise coming from the Gigabyte boards on some forums, but a lot say their boards do not make any noises, so the problem could be related to their PSUs....

No, I meant that when you overclock far the audio gets disturbed a bit. Some interferrence at some level. You won't hear it when the headset or speakers are off, it's audio through audio channel not from the board itself. And im not sure why, it's very little and only at certain overclockspeed.

Are you sure it is the Audio and not the capacitors pool around the CPU socket ?

And if i disabled the onboard audio chip and left my discrete audio card enabled, will i hear any noises ?

I'm 100% sure because capacitors making sound does not only go through a headphone or speakerset, you would hear it even when the speakers are off lol.

It should run cool at stock settings since they are made for worst case scenario cooling. But i guess that makes sense if you want to protect your investment =P. I personally would overclock the shit out of it though XD

e8500 voor gamen maar i7 is goed in alles, toekomst gericht voor multi threaded games, goed in videobewerken, films encoderen en multitasken. Wel een stuk duurder dan e8500 maar dan heb je ook wat :P
