one of the great charmers of public life - totally entertaining and humble as well, natural dancer, married for a thousand years......who wouldn't love that guy!
John Travolta, a common guy who picked up the true persona of man and God at one, so he unfolded... what next? He has got more to offer when it comes to true originality than common actors because he stood firm all the way. There is reason to envy him because he's a real solid person, and unconsciously practices a wisdom that's rare unoticeably.
travolta was good in classics such as saturday night fever, of course, but he then went the way of the washed up joke, until he did pulp fiction... that is the movie that made everyone decide he was cool again
@longfootbuddy Yeah totally. Actually it was Michael Madsen that Tarantino wanted for the part but for some reasons he couldn't do it. So Tarantino picked Travolta out of the "gutter" and then his career took off again
I've noticed that lots of A-list actors/actresses are part of Scientology; but I don't think that it detracts from any of their talents. Every religion in the world gets bashed, some just more publicly than others. I, personally, don't discuss religion because I feel that it doesn't define a person. To bring up religion is to start an arguement. I believe in God but that's as far as I'll go. The public should focus on their good deeds/works! I think John is awesome. One of my all-time faves. :)
WOW. Travolta sucks at mimicry. I think that he must have enormous self esteem to do whatever role he wants and have no real fear of being bashed. Good actor, pretty sure just a weird dude.
Travolta always comes across as friendly and reasonable and yet, he's neck-deep in the Scientology con/farce. It makes me wonder if his interview persona is just an act and in private, he's just as nuts as Tom Cruise, Kirstie Alley, etc..
I thought you were exaggerating but then I started the video and at 3.22 I couldn't help but gasp at the picture ;) Still, he's cute. But that picture makes me think of the "Eels" album "Beautiful Freak" (if you remember the cover)
Yeah, but he was a monster!!! Torturing his parents like that! :)) But his parents seem to have had a lot of fun too with him. I find it awesome, all the parents should have that devotion for their kids.
John is a close friend of my family. Only meet him twice but he is so down to earth and funny. Have not seen him is three years. I will always give him all my prayers for Jett His son. God bless you Jett
Have you ever seen Face/off? He played a great bad guy and it was his "enemy" that he was playing.... He also played a great bad guy in The Punisher... I don't know what your talking about man...
@petermisch I agree. He has done a HUGE, almost immeasurable service to actors worldwide by doing this show and interviewing these people. I'm sure he will be talked about by many long after his death.
John Travolta is of a very rare breed- I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to meet him, his wife Kelly and their daughter Ella a couple years ago while they were spending their Christmas in Maine. He was very down to earth... needless to say it was quite a surreal experience!
He is very smart.

I totaly agree, he just seems to be such a smart person. And yet he belives in something that's actually more stupid then an invisible man in the sky.
I never really bought him as a "badguy" in movies but damn after watching the latest with Denzel, I was like DAMN!!!
That reminds me why hasn't Denzel been on yet. Probably one of the most talented actors of all time.
