You've been complimenting Mystic Quest's music, and you've had a lot of compliments for FFLIII's music.
You remember that the composer of this game AND FFMQ is Ryuji Sasai, right?
I've wondered what you'd do with a Treasure of the Rudras playthrough-- if you remember, catchy music also by Ryuji Sasai.
(It suffers a bit from FF8 syndrome where the characters are minimally different, especially when they all share magic spells..) Amazing graphics, too.
Apparently this game has a conservitive antagonist, who believes if he floods the future, the water will "trickle down" to the other, lower time periods.
For some reason when I played using that FAQ, I missed the fact that status spells toggled.
The Elder warned the party in the present about someone else looking for units in the past and suggesting where to build a town. Those "others" are the party.
I thought it was pretty obvious you were looking for the UFuture in the past while Cronos was going to look for it in the present. MIght be easier to find it in one time period than the other, right?
Hehe the Star Trek reference was nice. It reminds me of the last episode of Heroes where Hiro randomly was like "Beam me up Scotty!" And then teleported! xD
It's funny you mention that you can play the game as Human/Mutants. Thats exactly what I always did. The whole transformation thing always kinda confused me. The only thing I recall changing was for one boss, I found a way to change my whole party to earth resistant monsters.
Wow, the script in the original translation is just bone-bare in this scene. I like the GBA version's script better in this segment; the amount of notes matches with the amount of syllables in the lyrics.
I remember someone mentioning that they're 15 years apart, but don't hold me to that. I think they mentioned that the future is 15 years after the present, anyway.
i really love how the random battles give so much GP in this game. but that leads me to think equipment/spells in this game get rather expensive later on.
My first playthough of the game was based on my experiences of other games, when I got to a new town I'd harvest cash before checking the shops, so I was always carrying around far more than I ever needed for anything. I could buy 4 of everything in the weapons, armour and spell stores, and still have a small fortune left over.
The thing you do in the past is never really explained, you do it and then it's never referenced or talked about again. It's rather odd. You don't even get a unit that advances the plot.
The title sounds like a screwed up baby doll commercial. "Hulk baby, plutonium sold Separately.

Still no use of Auto battle?

I'm surprised no one else commented on status spell toggling. I thought that would be more surprising to people.
I'll try to remember to go over auto-battle next time.

I remember spamming the buttons and repeating mememememememe during the Waterhag battle..
99% of the time, I didn't get an unexpected attack if I did that.

So the melee weapons use a similar stat formula to the fist weapons in Disgaea?

OO, a missed opportunity to change things drastically...

I think the "people looking for the units" were meant to be your party in the past. Just another cute little time paradox.

Everytime you say Curtis and i'm not looking i keep whipping my head around and start to say "what?" hahahah.

Did HC Balley just say that the elder had a space ship in his out house? I laughed my ass off on that comment.

So.. that's how they got the idea of Water hags in FFMQ, love their jaw-dropping sprites.

This is what FFMQ should have been like with 16-Bit graphics.

IGN says the soundtrack of this game is "imperfect"?
Ya know what they say, you can't spell "ignorant" without "IGN".
