    Greetings from Romania,

    Alex

  • i have entire modern opera about sam hill, loie fuller, queen marie and the creation of maryhill that i've never gotten produced but which exists as 2 hours of music on disk.

  • Bravo !! Bravo !! Mikey

  • Bravo.

  • What a nice little presentation of a real Washington state jewel. Maryhill is unique. Unlike other museums, usually in big cities where you don't really get away, this place is so remote that you will alwys remember your visit. And don't neglect to go to the Stonehenge replica where you can find the grave of the man beind it all, Mr. (Where in the) Sam Hill (are we?)

  • What a nice little presentation. Thank you. The remoteness of this place really adds to the special quality of any visit. Most museums are in cities, aren't they, and when we leave we are thrown back into modern civilization. Not the case at Maryhill. Its setting is entirely unique. If you've never been, and even if you don't appreciate fine art work, you should take the trek out to Maryhill.

  • These photos were taken on a visit to Maryhill Museum two weeks before we traveled to Romania for the first time in May 2006. It was very interesting to see furniture in Cotroceni Palace and Pelisor Castle and realize the matching pieces were in this little museum, halfway around the world.

  • Interesting lesson of history!

  • In sudul statului Washington, regina a inaugurat resedinta- muzeu a miliardarului american Samuel Hill, care o invitase in mod special.

  • In the south of Washington state, the queen inaugurated the museum-residence of American billionaire Samuel Hill, who had invited her to attend this festivity. At Maryhill is a room which reminds this event and exhibits objects brought by her in 1926. American newspapers intensively promovated Romania throughout the visit, a fact of tremendous importance for a country nearly unknown in the U.S.

  • I've done some research and I'm glad I understood what this video is about: in 1926, Queen Mary visited the United States, almost from one end to another. Americans were surprised to see a young queen, elegant, very beautiful, bright and nonconformist! They loved and acclaimed her!

  • Marie Of Roamania was 51 in 1926 )not very young do u think?

  • Multumim pentru ineditul imaginilor! Eu fac parte dintr- o grneratie nascuta si crescuta in plin comunism.

  • We thank you for the novelty of the images! I am part of a generation born and raised in communism, a period when entire pages from the history I had learnt were being brutally ripped off!!! Now it's realy difficult for us to put them back where thay belong! And look, you've helped us! Sincere best wishes and, once again, thank you!

  • Multumim 14adela pentru precizari si pentru comenarii!

I will also add my Thank you! or Multumesc mult! to Mike Kolibaba and Neal Skibinski who are making a tremendous and wonderful effort to promote Romania!

  • P.S. thank you for the Iasi 2007 gallery link

  • I appreicated the video. I grew up in The Dalles and this was my favorite spot... Met a great deal...thanks.

  • mkolibaba thank you !
