  • Thats not Pearl Jam, Eddie Wedder is no where to be seen :O

  • thanks vedder for taking this fucking songs balls away

  • They look pretty good playing this antique music. . .

  • 0.01Billy Gibbons ?????

  • Is this really Pearl Jam? If so then Im glad it remains true as I have been saying for years. They are the most overrated band of all time.

  • 1.41: Justin Bieber? :)

  • 1.19: Michael Moore?

  • 0:00 Chuck Norris unshaven

  • @rockdeath thanks for clearing that up

  • there is a shitload of musicians thats for sure

  • It's a bit of a stretch to call Johnny Marr a musician

  • Eh. It would sound better if they did it in the right key...

  • @willij08 They do it on purpose, Eddie Vedder is a baritone, his voice would sound bad if he attempted to sing as high as John Fogerty does on this song.

  • @willij08 A good cover is all about making the song personal

  • I just can't stand that singer's voice...

  • JOHNNY MARR YESSSSSSS

  • <3

  • Holy shit how many gutairs and basses do that have!!!!!

  • this is just plain and simple...a great song to listen to

  • Yeah! Zak Starkey on drums!

  • 1:22 is that jack black? lol

  • Is that a hobo at the beggining?? lol. Thumps Wayy Up for Sutch a Powerful Performance

  • @freshbreadsofa ZZ Top? Dude...

  • @cipovic77 Haha Oh noooo! so sorry dude : ) now i know. Peace.

  • @freshbreadsofa Hahah no problem dude :)

  • sucks

  • @RRNYC1998 Dude this is rock and roll. Not metal. Metallica would make it awesome, I must admit. But it is oh so much better when played by a band that does Rock n' Roll rather than screamo metal.

  • I like all the characters here, but I LOVE Creedence. This is abysmal, only Johnny Marr is playing properly. Some things best left alone.

  • the special think off CCR is that John's shouting the shit out of hisself. PJ definately lacks that.

  • Wasn't that Johnny Marr (from The Smiths) somewhere in there? Also, can someone name all the musicians, etc. here? I have no idea what exactly is going on here.

  • @SiLatics56 Carrie Brownstein (Sleater-Kinney) , Steve Earle, Billy Gibbons, Ann & Nancy Wilson from Heart, Ben Harper, to name a few...

  • @Chupacerveza1 Thankyou. You do mean the band Heart that sang the 80's classic These Dreams don't you?

  • Pearl Jam's best CCR cover.

  • wtf why did they take the vietnam mood out of it.

  • This video represents why many people pick up music. Not to be in band, it's to do what it's shown here...Collaboration and fun, that's all. The money and pussy is secondary...

  • jeeze i love p90 pickups

  • he's singing in E the original is in G.so is enought to say

  • Wow, His beard just ruined the song even more...

  • I am torn here. The US first got involved in Nam in 1950 during Truman (D). It sent aid to France in the 50's during Eisenhower (R). It committed troops under Kennedy/Johnson (D). It withdrew them under Nixon (R). John Fogerty received his draft notice but escaped active duty by joining the Reserves. Then he cites Bush II as a "fortunate son" for doing what he essentially did. Worse; the video depicts Nixon as somehow the villain, when Kennedy was more to fault. What gives? No sense of history?

  • @steve0281

If I'm correct, they had seen Eisenhower's grandson and Nixon's daughter get married, then realized Eisenhower's son was going to be able to dodge the draft because of his relation to the presidency.

The entire Vietnam era was a mess for America. Thousands of young men were forced to fight another country's war against a guerrilla army. On top of that, there was no realistic way to leave Vietnam quickly.

  • @Cheznikkkk That's the story as I understand it as well. I love CCR and Fogerty but I am thinking he was being unfair considering that he did what Bush II and Quayle both did.

When I was a kid we were able to upgrade our housing due to the previous occupant having been shot down and killed in Vietnam. I grew up in that era. I know well what was going on.

  • @steve0281 pretty good observation, i never knew all that.

  • @RedceLL1978 I still love the song, though.

  • At 1:18 - it is DEFINTELY Steve Earle singing - God, you wouldn't think you'd all need someone from South Africa to tell you that!

  • BILLY GIBBONS.

  • The Cover is very good, but don't say it's better than the original ¬¬ a cover is a cover.... a legend is a legend. oh, and the guitar solo is sweet, by the way

  • Thx guys for the bollocks!!!

  • is that michael moore singing?

  • @AviatorAndyK nope its ed vedder lmao :P

  • @ellroy28 at 1:18 ??

  • OK this is a fantastic cover

  • Oh god I stopped it as soon as I heard the vocals. Nobody can recreate John fogerty's voice... NOBODY

  • Mike Rowe on drums lol?

  • @getthepoooffmybum Honestly youre the regular brainwashed right-wing american. get your ass of here faggot

  • Comment removed

  • @getthepoooffmybum You know lets just listen to the music dude

  • @TookieGenesis You could have just said that...

  • great solo by MIKE!!!!!!!!!!!(2nd solo)

  • CCR was great but PJs covers are as good and often more to my liking than the originals. Enjoy...

  • dude was that intro billy g from zz top?

  • i think so ^^@tweak666616

  • interesting

  • pearl jam has fun so as all the other guests !!! they play for fun and love ...allthe rest

is bullshit comments !!!!! music is about love , Not about mind !!!!!

  • Great cover. Still would rather hear the original.

  • This video makes one want to be a rock star due to all of it's content.

  • lets start a band shell we?.... lol

  • There is S*** load of people up there.

  • ULTIMATE Jam session!!!!(No Pun Intended)

  • and The bloke from the miths on guitar

    Johnny MARR

  • wow the buzzcocks too. they also did the deadboys sonic reducer quite well. great fucking bands all.

  • Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top is the first guy you see.

  • that is not billy gobbons!

  • Of course it is! Who's you think it was, Gimli, son of Gloin? ;-)

  • Best comeback of all time

  • Steve Earl? Shit! I thought that was Danny Baker! :-D

  • Steve Earle @ 3:35 playing a Gibson SG. !!

  • yep, the gibson sg is a freaking nice guitar in my opinion better than the Les Paul

  • That's Steve Earle @ 1:19

  • Nice job! I enjoyed that.

  • also carrie browsteain former member of sleater-kinney is also on the stage. (shes the one with the black tshirt with the white tie.)

  • "that girl" is Nancy Heart.... from Heart (wife of Cameron Crowe ~ Almost Famous/ Fast Times @ Richmount High) but who are all the other musicians other than the guys in PJ?

  • wow, i'm just surprised they could sync like 6 guitarists xDD

  • Why do people always compare a covered song to the original? Why do people act like no one can do it as well as the original band? Then of course, you always get that monkey who thinks he up there with t he band and says " The tempo seems a little faster" or "They seemed to be tuned down a step or two"

  • thats right, no one is john forgety, but its a great cover and no one cant say that I'm wrong

  • It's tuned down, isn't it?

  • rgat !!!, that girl rocked

  • how many guitarists do they have on that stage damn

  • i love this cover but i also love creedence clearwater revival

  • lol its a compilation.. so they mixed al kinds of guest performers into this clip..

    peace!!

  • i guess no one noticed that eddie and stone are wearing like 3 different outfits... lol

  • Meh, didn't really like this cover.

  • nice song...finally eddie brings his "crystal clear vocal abilities" to the surface...

  • Pearl jam is a better band when they play their own stuff. This song is much better by Creedence. Pearl jam is still my fav band. GRUNGE WILL NEVER DIEEE!!!!!

  • thats a big lie dude, you dont know what your talking about

  • And this is why Pearl Jam is the best Rock band post 80's...

  • No.

  • Epic...

  • gooood,very good !!!!!!!

  • rocking

  • Good job but no one will ever be able to match john fogerty's abilities to sing that music

  • @Mtnbike4life your right. but also remember Eddie just sane 27 songs before this one. and most likely 35 songs the night before. and the night before that.

  • @Mtnbike4life that was better then fogerty. imo

  • I think this is a great cover. The added solo is pretty sweet. But I have to say the original's still better.

  • I think pearl jam is good, but better when they stick to there own music, not Creedence's

  • When has Eddie Vedder ever stuck to the same lyrics for anything? and who said anything about imitation? You're listening to Pearl Jam sing someone elses song. They're called 'covers'.

  • fantastic

  • CREEDENCE IS BETTER

  • and your opinion matters why?

  • CCR is one of my two favorite bands, and this version is undeniably good as well. you're an idiot.

  • SWEEETTTT :P

  • You see alot of comments on youtube about how pearl jam sucks. Blows my mind. Who the hell are these people and what do they listen to?

  • Obviously they are people who don't have a clue as to what sucks and what doesn't suck! For every bad comment you read about Pearl Jam there are a thousand or more good ones! Just try to concentrate on those - I do.

  • listen to ramones

  • @cpickettrun good charlotte - and pink

  • @cpickettrun Really? I can't imagine what kind of planet these people are living on if they think Pearl Jam sucks. I'd hate to spend a weekend listening to whatever they have in their personal music collection!

  • @cpickettrun those guys probably listen to Nirvana.. haha, pearl jam forever..!

  • No dis to CCR but the only thing that sucks around here is your mouth on Eddies ass son

  • yea thats why pearl jam is constantly referred to as one of the best bands ever

  • go back to alabama you redneck

  • best version i ever heard of this song.

  • Awesome song, very well done, and I'll probably get attacked for this, but I actually prefer the more raw, emotional cover of this song that My Chemical Romance performs live.

  • this is a compilation from live at the garden that shows all the musicians who they played with during their riot act tour.

  • Sure it is.

  • the guy that keeps saying come on looks like billy gibbons from zz top

  • lol it is

  • wow, im an idiot =p

  • you'll find this exact same video on their Live @ The Garden DVD

  • some clips are them...i think they might have made a compilation of a bunch of cover bands and thrown in some clips of the actual band. thats why its confusing...

  • WTF!?, thats not pearl jam ..?

  • Yes it is. Well it's pearl jam with a bunch of other musicians. THe whole band was there. Eddy Vedder, Matt Cameron on drums, etc... There where others there though as well. Might be some sort of benefit concert thingy.

  • rocking
