As a band Lizzy were really forced to make majority hard rock songs(through no fault of their own it was pressure from record labels). But I wish Phil had created more soft emotional songs, solo as well as with Lizzy. Every single one is a classic. And there just isn't enough to satisfy me :P
Thanks for posting, never knew this existed. Phil is forever king. J. Sykes is a gutiar god. I wish that it could have lasted a little longer. RIP Phil....This is great on a sensitive side...
Wow all those cool music shows in the UK back then, they never had shit like this in Canada ,shame I missed out!.Lizzy were the best band ever and Phil the man!
It is from a UK TV show called Gastank. This episode was aired on 29 Jan 1983. The show was always hosted by Rick Wakeman & Tony Ashton and they played with the guests and sometimes interviewed them. The bass player here is Jerome Rimson and the drummer Tony Fernandez. There was a second track performed - The Man's A Fool - which featured a 'duel' between Sykes & Wakeman!
Love this man forever!!!!!Beautiful xxxxxx Forever Phil we Miss you!!!!

Interesting to see Phil with a guitar instead of a bass in his hands. Nice lyric with this one. Miss ya, Phil.

Strange to John Sykes Les Paul without the mirror pickguard and humbucker surrounds that Lynott suggested.

Imagine if Phil and Tommy Bolin ever got together on a record. Losing them was a real tragedy.
